摘要: A liquid crystal shutter eyeglass that can solve the problem in which the provision of excellent images cannot be kept if the situation of the viewer varies is provided. A liquid crystal shutter (2) has a light transmitting and shading region in which a state can change between a light transmitting state in which light is caused to transmit and a light shading state in which light is caused to be shaded. A driving section (51) changes the state between the light transmitting state and the light shading state of a driving region that is at least part of the light transmitting and shading region. A controlling means (52) adjusts at least one of a size and a position of the driving region of which the driving section (51) changes the state.

摘要: The present invention includes light valve section (10) having substrate (22) through which light that exits plurality of optical connection mechanisms (23) that switch between the transmitting state and the shading state of light emitted from light emitting element (25) transmits and plasmon coupling section (11) that is arranged in light valve section (10) and that causes plasmon coupling to occur with light that exits light emitting element (25). Plasmon coupling section (11) includes carrier generation layer (15) that generates carriers with light that exits light emitting element (25) and plasmon excitation layer (17) that has a higher plasma frequency than the frequency of light that is generated in carrier generation layer (15) excited with the light emitted from light emitting element (25). Wave number vector conversion layer (19) is arranged on substrate (22). Wave number vector conversion layer (19) converts the light or surface plasmons generated in plasmon excitation layer (17) into light having a predetermined exit angle. Plasmon excitation layer (17) is sandwiched between first dielectric constant layer (16) and second dielectric constant layer (18).

摘要: A picture transmission system is provided that provides a solution to drops in picture quality. A multiplexing unit (11) multiplexes N pictures in display order to generate a multiplexed picture. A transmission unit (12) transmits the multiplexed picture. A frame memory (23) delays pictures in the multiplexed picture that is received by a reception unit (21) by a one-frame interval of the pictures (one subframe interval) to generate reference pictures. With each reception of a picture in the multiplexed picture by the reception unit (21), an OD arithmetic unit (25) converts the picture element value of the picture (object picture) based on the reference picture to generate an OverDrive picture. A time-division display apparatus (3) displays the OverDrive pictures.

摘要: A display device is provided with a display section; a drive section driving the display section; and a light shutter control section controlling a light shutter. The display section is configured to display first and second images on the display section during a specific period. The drive section is configured to allow perceiving an image only from a direction in a specific viewing angle range at least during the specific period. The light shutter control section controls the light shutter so that the light shutter is placed into a transmitting state allowing transmitting light during a period during which the first image is displayed in the specific period and placed into a shielding state shielding light during a remaining period in the specific period. The first and second images are generated so that an image generated by adding brightnesses of respective pixels of the first and second images has no correlation to the first image.

摘要: To provide a display device which can reduce driving frequency of a controller and a driver for inputting a signal to the display device and increase brightness of a screen without increasing the driving frequency. The display device includes: a display screen having a plurality of pixels provided by corresponding to intersection points between scan lines and data lines; a scan line drive circuit which drives the scan lines; a data line drive circuit which drives the data lines; and a display device body having an image display control device which operates the drive circuit so as to sequentially and repeatedly display two or more types of images. The image display control device causes the scan line drive circuit to simultaneously select two or more scan lines for at least one type of image among the two or more types of images sequentially displayed.
