摘要: The present invention provides a seat belt system comprising: a moving element (36) rotatably received in a housing (26); a device (32) for applying a pressurized gas to the moving element (36) when abrupt deceleration occurs on a vehicle; a tensile member (40) responsive to movement of the moving element (36) extruded due to the pressurized gas to generate a rotational torque; and a clutch mechanism (44) for transmitting the rotational torque generated by the tensile member (40) to a retractor shaft (24) to rotate the shaft (24) in a webbing-winding direction.

摘要: A seat belt device has a gas generator for generating a high pressure gas when the vehicle is in emergency, a cylinder for conducting the high pressure gas from the gas generator, a piston received movably within the cylinder and pressed and moved by the high pressure gas, and a drive unit for rotating a winding shaft of a seat belt retractor in a direction of removing the slack of a belt, using the movement of the piston, wherein the pretensioner is employed with the energy absorbing mechanism, for reversely rotating the winding shaft if a tension acting on the belt exceeds a predetermined value after removing the slack of the belt.

摘要: A starting device (21, 121, 41) for actuating a gas generator (8) by striking a detonator (10) in response to an acceleration of a predetermined level or more. The starting device includes a firing pin (22), an inertial mass (23), an annular permanent magnet (24) and an erroneous-actuation preventing mechanism (9, 109, 42). The firing pin (22) is capable of igniting the detonator (10) by moving toward and colliding against the detonator (10). The inertial mass (23) is made of a cylindrical permanent magnet for supplying kinetic energy to the firing pin (22). The annular permanent magnet (24) has an inside diameter larger than an outside diameter of the inertial mass (23). The erroneous-actuation preventing mechanism (9,109, 42) prevents the erroneous actuation of the starting device (21, 121, 41). The erroneous-actuation preventing mechanism (9,109, 42) includes a restricting member for selectively setting the inertial mass (23) in a nonmovable state and in a movable state.

摘要: In a through anchor (10), a webbing sliding contact surface (15) is formed by bending in a curved fashion a lower edge of an opening (14) formed in a metal insert (11) toward a side. The through anchor (10) is covered over portions of the metal insert (11) other than the webbing sliding contact surface (15) with a coating resin (13). Accordingly, it is possible to provide a seat belt assembly that can continue to provide good sliding contact between a webbing guide and webbing, with simple construction.

摘要: Provided is a seatbelt device capable of realizing a comfortable seatbelt-wearing environment as well as appropriately securing and protecting a passenger. The seatbelt device is further capable of realizing an immediate escape or rescue of a passenger after a vehicle accident, thereby providing extra safety and a swift escape by protracting the webbing in accordance with the state of the vehicle accident. This seatbelt device is provided with a retractor which uses a motor for retracting and protracting the webbing that secures a passenger to his/her seat, and a controller for rotating the motor and at least retracting the webbing. The controller is capable of altering the protraction mode of the webbing in accordance with the state of the webbing fastened by the passenger.

摘要: It is an object to provide a retractor for a seat belt having a locking means and a shaft which can be twisted and exhibiting satisfactory safety. A retractor 1 for a seat belt according to the present invention having a locking means 100, which is capable of inhibiting rotation of a bobbin 3 around which a webbing 50 is wound in a direction in which the webbing 50 is drawn out in an emergency of a vehicle, a torsion bar 200A is disposed between the bobbin 3 and the locking means 100 and arranged to be twisted to respond to the instance wherein a predetermined load is applied to the locking means 100 so as to rotate the bobbin 3 in the direction in which the webbing 50 is drawn out. The retractor 1 for a seat belt has a rotation restraining mechanism 300 for restraining rotation of the bobbin 3 when the bobbin 3 has been rotated by a predetermined angle in the direction in which the webbing 50 is drawn out to correspond to torsion of the torsion bar 200A.
