    摘要: A method of producing a collimator or collimator array is constituted by the steps of: fixing long-size gradient index rod lens raw materials on a substrate having end surfaces each forming a plane so that the long-size gradient index rod lens raw materials are arranged side by side at intervals of the predetermined pitch while optical axes of the gradient index rod lens raw materials are parallel to one of the end surfaces of the substrate; cutting the substrate provided with the gradient index rod lens raw materials at a predetermined position in a plane perpendicular to the optical axes of the gradient index rod lens raw materials to thereby divide the substrate provided with the gradient index rod lens raw materials into lens array parts; adjusting the divided lens array parts so that each of the gradient index rod lens raw materials in the lens array parts has a defined lens length; and arranging the lens array parts so that the cut end surfaces of the lens array parts are made to face each other while optical axes of the lens parts facing each other correspondingly are made coincident with each other.

    摘要: A composite magnetic antenna for information communication utilizes a magnetic field component as well as a composite RF tag using the composite magnetic antenna, which can be embedded in metals while maintaining a sufficient communication sensitivity unlike conventional RF tags which are unusable in the metal embedding applications. The composite RF tag for transmitting and receiving information using an electromagnetic induction method includes a magnetic antenna on which an IC is mounted, and an insulating material and a metal material or a conductive material which are formed around the magnetic antenna. The magnetic antenna includes a central core formed of a magnetic material, and an electrode material formed into a coil around the central core. The insulating material is formed around the magnetic antenna except for one longitudinal end of the coil of the magnetic antenna. The metal material or the conductive material is formed on an outside of the insulating material.

    摘要: A (100) silicon substrate is prepared having an insulating film formed on front and back surfaces of the silicon substrate. A resist pattern is formed on the insulating film and partially etched to form an etching mask on the front and back surfaces. The silicon substrate is subjected to anisotropical etching dependent upon an orientation to form a concave horn and a through hole, the concave horn having a bottom with a (100) plane and four inclined sidewalls with a (111) plane, and the through hole gradually narrowing from the front and back surfaces toward an inside of the silicon substrate and having a bottleneck portion with the (111) plane at an intermediate position in the silicon substrate. An LED chip is mounted on the bottom of the concave horn to form an LED package. The LED package is provided which presents high wiring reliability and simplified manufacture processes.

    摘要: A wavelength selecting module includes a first collimator for collimating diverging light to generate a collimated light beam and a liquid crystal cell having a predetermined helical direction. The liquid crystal cell separates a light signal having a specific wavelength among a plurality of light signals of the collimated light beam into a left circularly polarized light and a right circularly polarized light, reflects one of the left and right circularly polarized light signals that has a same optical rotatory direction as the predetermined helical direction toward the first collimator in a first state. The liquid crystal cell passes the plurality of light signals of the collimated light beam in a second state. The liquid crystal cell changes between the first state and the second state in accordance with a change in a voltage applied thereto, thereby switching between selection and non-selection of light having the specific wavelength.

    摘要: There is provided a magnetic antenna, suitable for use in an RFID tag and an RFID tag reader/writer, which operates stable even if brought close to a metallic object and suitable for mass-production, and a board mounted with the magnetic antenna. The magnetic antenna has a coil comprising a magnetic layer and a conductive layer provided on the magnetic layer via an insulating layer. Alternatively, the magnetic antenna has a plurality of coils each comprising a magnetic layer having a square or rectangular shape and arranged radially. One ends of the coils are connected in series or parallel to one another by the magnetic layers thereof such that the coils have the same polarity. An insulating layer is provided on one or both outer surface of the coils, and a conductive layer is provided on an outer surface of at least one of the insulating layers. The magnetic antenna is produced using an LTCC technology.
