摘要: A vehicle lamp having a discharge bulb which prevents radiation of electromagnetic waves toward the forward positions of the lamp. Radiation into the other directions is prevented by shielding members disposed around the lamp. A shade disposed in front of a discharge bulb attached to a reflector is made of metal and a stem of the shade is secured to the reflector in a state where the stem is electrically connected to a socket fixture. The shade is placed at ground potential through the fixture. Thus, the front portion of the discharge bulb is shielded and prevents radiation of the electromagnetic waves to positions in front of the lamp.

摘要: A vehicle headlamp includes a lamp body having a hollow portion opening forward, a support member supported tiltably in the lamp body, and a plurality of reflectors supported side by side in one of the vertical and lateral directions by the support member. Each reflector is made to support a corresponding light source and least one of the reflectors is pivotably supported by the support member in the horizontal direction. In one embodiment, a lower reflector is pivotable in the horizontal direction and a low beam is formed by an upper reflector and the light source supported by the upper reflector. In this embodiment, the upper reflector does not have any portion that does not affect luminous distribution.

摘要: A lamp for a vehicle having a metallic light shielding shade that comprises a shade body serving as a light shielding section and a leg which extends rearward from the shade body in substantially a horizontal direction so that the light shielding section supported in a cantilever manner when the rear end of the leg is inserted and secured to a leg insertion hole formed in a reflector of the lamp, wherein the leg of the light shielding shade is obtained by laminating two plate-like extending portions that have expanded portions; and holding grooves are formed in the leg insertion hole. When the expanded portions are press-fitted into the holding grooves from the front side of the reflector, the leg is inserted in the leg insertion hole, and the rear end of the extending leg is bent so as to be on the rear surface of the reflector; as a result, the leg of the light shielding shade is securely held in the leg insertion hole of the reflector. The leg is formed by laminating two plate-like extending portions so as to have a high rigidity, realizes excellent light distributing characteristics, and prevents deflection of light distribution.

摘要: In a bulb fixing structure, a bulb mounting hole portion has an inner wall and an outer wall that stand concentrically with the bulb mounting hole. A fixture has a dish-like shape having a peripheral wall portion in which interlocking grooves are formed. Each interlocking groove is partially defined by at least one claw portion. The fixture can be readily fixed to the bulb mounting hole portion with a high fixing strength by inserting the peripheral wall portion into the space between the inner and outer walls so that the claw portions of the interlocking grooves bite into rib walls that stand between the inner and outer walls. When the fixture is thus fixed, the inner and outer walls cover the peripheral wall, protecting it from an external force.
