    摘要: A disk system comprising a plurality of disk units (1-0 to 1-7) divided into primary logical volumes (101 to 171) and secondary logical volumes (102 to 172) which are controlled by a plurality of disk controllers (4-AA to 4-BB). One of disk controllers sets an assign bit to cause one of the logical volumes to perform a stand-alone operation. This assign bit can be reset by another disk controller for another logical volume, which generates an unconditional reserve command. In this system, flip-flops (18, 19) for storing a stand-alone control signal, decoders (7-AA.about.7-BB) for an unconditional reserve command, interruption signal generating circuits (27, 28), a notification circuit (9), and the like are provided so that the issuance of an unconditional reserve command is notified to the corresponding disk controller.

    摘要: A biological growth inhibition factor assay method includes: a first step of mixing a photosynthetic sample, with an aqueous solution sample to prepare a test measurement solution, letting the test measurement solution stand, and then after illuminating light onto the test measurement solution for a predetermined illumination time, measuring the light amount of the delayed fluorescence that is emitted; a second step of mixing the photosynthetic sample with a standard sample, in which biological growth inhibition factors are not present, to prepare a standard measurement solution, letting the standard measurement solution stand, and then after illuminating light onto the standard measurement solution for a predetermined illumination time, measuring the light amount of the delayed fluorescence that is emitted; and a third step of computing assay values based on the light amounts of delayed fluorescence, respectively measured in the first step and the second step, and determining a comparison value of the assay values to assay biological growth inhibition factors. A biological growth inhibition factor assay method that enables analysis of a wide range of inhibition factors in a short time is thereby realized.

    摘要: A method of producing a photoelectric conversion device having a multilayer structure formed on a substrate, the multilayer structure including a lower electrode, a photoelectric conversion layer made of a compound semiconductor layer, an n-type buffer layer made of a compound semiconductor layer, and a transparent conductive layer, is disclosed. A reaction solution, which is an aqueous solution containing an n-type dopant element, at least one of ammonia and an ammonium salt, and thiourea, is prepared, the n-type dopant is diffused into the photoelectric conversion layer by immersing the substrate including the photoelectric conversion layer in the reaction solution controlled to a temperature in the range from 20° C. to 45° C.; and the buffer layer is deposited on the photoelectric conversion layer by immersing the substrate including the photoelectric conversion layer subjected to the diffusion step in the reaction solution controlled to a temperature in the range from 70° C. to 95° C.

    摘要: A vehicle wheel bearing apparatus has a wheel hub integrally formed with a peripheral wheel mounting flange at one end and a double row rolling bearing. The double row rolling bearing has an outer member integrally formed with a peripheral body mounting flange and with double row outer raceway surfaces. An inner member, including the wheel hub, is formed with double row inner raceway surfaces each arranged opposite to each of the double row outer surfaces. Double row rolling elements are freely rotatably contained between the double row outer and inner raceway surfaces. The double row rolling bearing is adapted to receive a predetermined preload. A separate outer or inner ring is arranged on at least one of the outer or inner members. A preload varying mechanism is arranged at an abutting portion between the outer and inner members to vary the preload applied to the bearing. The preload varying mechanism can be extended or contracted based on an output signal from a detecting sensor to detect the vehicle running conditions.

The bearing device rotatably supports a wheel and has an outer member 1, an inner member 2, and rolling elements 3 interposed between both members. The outer member 1 has on its outer periphery a vehicle body installation flange 1a, and double row rolling surfaces 6, 7 are formed on the inner peripheries of the outer member. Rolling surfaces 8, 9 facing the rolling surfaces 6, 7 of the outer member 1 are formed in the inner member 2. Between the rolling surfaces of both members 1, 2 are interposed the rolling elements 3. A sensor 4 for detecting the amount of preload of the bearing is provided on either the outer member 1 or the inner member 2.

The bearing assembly also includes a load conversion unit detecting a relative angular difference between the inner member and the constant velocity universal joint by comparing the detection signals from the detecting parts to detect the load acting on the bearing assembly.

    摘要: The bearing assembly includes a rolling bearing including a rotatable raceway member and a stationary raceway member. This bearing assembly also includes a to-be-detected member carried by the raceway member and having a magnetic characteristic which cyclically varies in a direction circumferentially of the to-be-detected element and has a cycle matching with one complete rotation of the raceway member, a magnetic sensor unit carried by the raceway member in face-to-face relation with the to-be-detected member, and a magnetic detecting circuit to supply an electric power to the unit and to process an output signal from the unit to provide an output to an external circuit. The magnetic characteristic of the to-be-detected member represents a substantially sinusoidal waveform rising and falling more steeply than a sinusoidal waveform at a zero-crossing point.
