摘要: A boot-band is configured to be surely fastened around a member and to be clamped, via a one-step operation, without any portion of the band body buckling during fastening. The boot-band includes a pressure-reduction arrangement that is formed in an outer-layer portion in such a manner that it reduces the pressure applied to engagement pawls of an inner-layer portion when the outer-layer portion climbs over the engagement pawls.

摘要: The objective of the current invention is to provide a boot-band that can be surely fastened around a member to be clamped without any portion of the band body buckling during fastening, and that can be fastened by a one-step operation for improved fastening workability. A boot-band 30 comprising (1) a band body 31 that is wound like a ring around a member to be clamped, and that has, at its respective ends, an outer-layer portion 32 that is overlaid over an inner-layer portion 33, (2) engagement holes 34, 35 that are formed in the outer-layer portion 32, (3) engagement pawls 36, 37 that are formed on, and that protrude radially outwardly from, the inner-layer portion 33, and that are to be engaged with the corresponding engagement holes 34, 35 so that the band body is held in a fastened state, (4) a first boot-band pawl 41 that is formed on the inner-layer portion 33 at a location nearer to the longitudinal end of the band body than the engagement holes 34, 35 are, (5) a second boot-band pawl 38 that is formed on the inner-layer portion 33 and that is to be engaged with the first boot-band pawl 41, and (6) a pressure-reduction means 45 that is formed in the outer-layer portion 32 in such a manner that the pressure-reduction means 45 reduces the pressure applied on the engagement pawls 36, 37 of the inner-layer portion 33 when the outer-layer portion 32 climbs over the engagement pawls 36, 37 just before the first and the second boot-band pawls are engaged.

摘要: The resistance against the portion of a band body that is riding over engagement claws at the time of fastening the band body is reduced, so that the band body can be fastened by a small amount of fastening force. This boot band consists of: a band body that is fastened by winding in a ring shape an outer overlapping portion and an inner overlapped portion around a member to be fastened; engagement claws and that are formed on the outer overlapping portion; engagement holes that are formed in the inner overlapped portion and that engage with the engagement claws, so as to maintain the band body in a fastened condition; a lip that is formed by separating, along the fastening direction of the band body, the area of the inner overlapped portion where an engagement hole is formed from that area's surrounding area, and with the fastening-direction end of the lip formed as a free end; and a slit, which the lip penetrates through to the opposite side of the slit.

摘要: Provided is a boot band that is configured for preventing the occurrence of buckling in the inner-layer portion of a band body. In the boot band, by applying a diameter-reducing tightening force on the band body when an engagement pawl of an inner-layer portion of the band body has entered a top-end engagement hole of an outer-layer portion of the band body, the top-end engagement hole rides over the engagement pawl. Buckling is prevented by providing, at the area of the top-end engagement hole opposite where the engagement pawl enters therein, a guide that faces the engagement pawl.

摘要: Buckling is prevented at the time of clamping a band body, and the band body is made short. A boot band comprises a band body 31 that is wound in a ring shape—around a member to be clamped—in such a way that the outer-layer portion 32 of the band body 31 overlaps the inner-layer portion 33 of the band body 31, engagement holes 34, 35 that are formed in the outer-layer portion 32, engagement pawls 36, 37 that are formed on the inner-layer portion 33 and that are to be engaged with the engagement holes 34, 35, so that the band body 31 is maintained in a clamped condition, a first boot-band pawl 41 that is formed on the to and at the end of the outer-layer portion 32, a planar end 39 that is formed closer to the end of the outer-layer portion 32 than the first boot-band pawl 41 is, a second boot-band pawl 38 that (1) is formed in the inner-layer portion 33, (2) has (a) an opening 38a wherein the terminal end 39 can be inserted, and (b) a pressing portion 38b for pressing—from the outside—the terminal end 39 that is inserted in the opening 38a, and (3) clamps the band body 31 together with the first boot-band pawl 41, and a slit 42 that is formed between the first boot-band pawl 41 and the engagement hole 34 in the outer-layer portion 32.

摘要: The rotation of the band in relation to a boot to be fastened is prevented, so that reduction of the boot-fastening force is prevented, thereby preventing leakage of grease from a boot to be fastened, and so that boot-bands can be manufactured simply. An endless boot-fixing band 1 is formed as an endless ring, and is reduced in diameter by plastic deformation so as to fasten a boot by applying pressure onto said boot's outer surface. The boot band is formed entirely of an Al—Mg—Si alloy, and a surface-pressure-altering part 3, which changes the surface pressure for fastening the boot, is formed on the inner surface of the band.
