    摘要: An optical fiber end portion (10) which has a ferrule (11) which comprises a butting end face (11e) opposed to or butted against an optical device (20), and a single fiber hole or a plurality of fiber holes formed in parallel at predetermined intervals, into which one end of optical fiber (13a) is inserted, the optical fiber being optically connected to said optical device, a method for manufacturing the optical fiber end portion, and a construction for connecting the end portion to the optical device. The ferrule is formed of a molded product of synthetic resin, and is provided with at least one connecting member (12) on the side of butting end face connected to the optical device. The connecting member (12) has a linear expansion coefficient set at a value smaller than the linear expansion coefficient of a synthetic resin forming the ferrule.

    摘要: A method of connecting waveguides and optical fibers includes the steps of forming the waveguides and a marker at the same time on a waveguide substrate when patterning the waveguides by a photolithography method, forming a clad layer on a region other than another region when the marker is formed so as to embed the waveguides, and forming a fitting pin groove at a position corresponding to a position of the marker. By using this fitting pin groove, a waveguide module and an optical fiber connector are connected so as to connect each of the waveguides and each of the optical fibers with each other. With this method, waveguides and optical fibers can be aligned and connected with each other easily and in a short period of time without employing an expensive aligning device.

    摘要: An optical waveguide component which has end faces to be connected with optical fiber connectors by means of guide pins, comprises an optical waveguide component body having an optical waveguide core portion, and a resin mold cladding portion covering all the faces of the optical waveguide component body except for the end faces of the optical waveguide component body. Each end face of the resin mold portion has guide pin holes which were formed with the optical waveguide core portion being used as a positioning reference. Since the guide pin holes for connection with the optical fiber connectors are formed in the resin mold portion which, preferably has some elasticity and which covers the optical waveguide component body, the guide pin holes and a substrate are not broken even if subjected to a load after connection.

    摘要: An N-phase electric machine, N being an integer ≥3, includes a housing; i×N stator windings arranged in a fixed manner in the housing, i being an integer ≥2; and a rotatable rotor surrounded by the i×N stator windings in the housing. The stator windings are consecutively divided into i subgroups in a circumferential direction, each subgroup having N stator windings. The electric machine further comprises i current control modules and i temperature measurement devices, each current control module being correspondingly electrically connected to the N stator windings in one corresponding subgroup, so that when the stator windings in the i subgroups are supplied with power by the i current control modules, a rotating magnetic field is generated around the rotor. Each temperature measurement device is configured to measure the temperature of one corresponding subgroup in the i subgroups during operation of the electric machine.

    摘要: An optical waveguide chip assembly in which a plurality of optical waveguide patterns and two positioning grooves are laterally arranged is prepared by forming a plurality of optical waveguide patterns and two positioning grooves on a wafer in parallel to each other and cutting the wafer. Separately from this, an optical fiber array assembly having a plurality of optical fiber array cables and two guide pin holes is prepared. The optical waveguide chip assembly and the optical fiber array assembly are joined while aligning by the guide pins and then divided into units of individual optical waveguide modules. A large number of optical waveguide modules can be made with a good efficiency, and the mass productivity is improved. Since a plurality of optical waveguide modules are made by the same positioning, variations among products can be reduced.
