Further, the original feed apparatus has means for transporting an original in sheet form exactly at a predetermined rate in the sheet mode copying system and for transporting the original without deformation or breakage while being fed at a high rate in the book mode copying system.

    摘要: In copying apparatus having a magnification ratio varying device, wherein a photosensitive member in motion is exposed to an optical image of an original by slit exposing to form an electrostatic latent image thereon and the original scanning velocity is varied in accordance with the magnification ratio selected, it is necessary to effect registration of the forward end of the image of an original with the leading end of a photosensitive sheet or a transfer-printing sheet. The above-mentioned registration is effected by delivering a copy sheet after lapse of a predetermined period of time following the production of a detection signal by a detector, the above-mentioned predetermined period of time being varied in conformity with the selected one of magnification ratios.

    摘要: A book type document is placed on a glass platen face down and scanned by a reciprocating optical system one or more times to produce one or more copies respectively. A retractable conveyor comprising an endless belt is moved onto the platen to automatically feed a sheet document inserted thereinto onto the platen for scanning. Where only one copy of a sheet document is required, the optical system is maintained stationary and the sheet document is fed by the conveyor over the platen at the proper speed, thus enabling rapid copying of a large number of sheet documents. The magnification is variable through adjustment of the positions of the elements of the optical system when held stationary and the speed of movement of the document by the conveyor. The conveyor feeds a sheet document onto the platen at high speed and the optical system is reciprocated to scan the document a plurality of times where a plurality of copies of the document are required.

    摘要: The copying apparatus has a magnification ratio varying device, and a photosensitive member, in motion, is exposed to an optical image of an original, by slit exposing, to form an electrostatic latent image thereon. The scanning velocity of the original is effected in accordance with the selected magnification ratio. Registration of the forward or leading end of the image of an original with the leading end of a photosensitive sheet or a transfer-printing sheet is effected by delivering a copy sheet, such as a photosensitive sheet or a transfer-printing sheet, to the photosensitive member only after the lapse of a predetermined period of time following production of a detection signal by a detection device cooperable with the leading edge of the original. The predetermined period of time is varied in conformity to the selected magnification ratio.

    摘要: In copying apparatus capable of producing a duplicate from an original differing in size from each other, a lens is moved when the size of a duplicate to be made from an original is to be changed. When the lens is moved along its optical axis, no change is caused to occur in the distribution of the volume of light passing through the lens for exposing an image forming surface to an optical image of the original. However, in case the original is set such that one side thereof is located on a reference position, the lens is moved in a direction perpendicular to its optical axis, with the result that a lack of uniformity will arise in the distribution of the volume of light thrown on the image forming surface through the lens. Shield means extending from outside the optical axis toward the optical axis is mounted between the original and the lens to cut off a portion of the light flux thrown on the image forming surface to thereby eliminate the lack of uniformity in the distribution of the volume of light thrown on the image forming surface which would otherwise occur.
