摘要: The invention discloses a method for a cellular communications system, in which traffic is sent in frames, each frame comprising a first number of subframes, with a second number of said subframes being available for at least either uplink or downlink traffic. At least one of said second number of subframes is made to comprise at least three parts, as follows: One part which is utilized for uplink traffic, One part which is utilized for downlink traffic, One part which is utilized as a guard period, with said guard period part being scheduled between the uplink and the downlink parts. The duration of at least two of said three parts may be varied to fit the current system need.

摘要: Operations by a wireless communication network include obtaining information of available cell resources of cells in at least a segment of the wireless communications network, and the current operation state of each cell in the segment. The operations further include obtaining a current traffic demand in the segment, and obtaining previously stored spatial channel characteristics for wireless devices being associated with the cells in the segment. The spatial channel characteristics for at least one wireless device of the wireless device is given between the at least one wireless device and at least two cells in the segment. A determination is then made whether to affect the operation state of at least one of the cells or not according to the information of available cell resources, the current traffic demand, and the previously stored spatial channel characteristics.

摘要: The technology disclosed provides the ability for a subframe to be configured as a “flexible” subframe. As a result, at least three different types of subframes in a TDD system may be configured: a downlink (“DL”) subframe, an uplink (“UL”) subframe, and a “flexible” subframe. While the DL and UL subframes are preconfigured for each frame instance, the flexible subframes are dynamically allocated to be an uplink subframe in one instance of a frame and a downlink subframe in another instance of the frame.

摘要: The invention discloses a beamforming method for polarized antenna array consisting of a plurality of antenna elements, applied to single layer beamforming or dual layer beamforming, which includes the steps: determining (201) first beamforming weights for phase compensation among the antenna elements within each polarization direction; determining (202) second beamforming weights for phase compensation between equivalent channels of two polarization directions; and calculating (203) hybrid beamforming weights as product of the first beamforming weights and the second beamforming weights. A beamforming apparatus for polarized antenna array is also provided in the invention as well as a radio communication device and a system thereof With the invention, the single-layer and dual-layer beamforming weights are determined for the cross-polarized antenna array without requiring full channel knowledge or the aid of PMI. Computation complexity is lowered and full power amplifier utilization can be achieved.

摘要: The present invention provides a method for performing channel estimation and detection in a Multiple-Input-Multiple-Output (MIMO) system, including: generating a demodulation reference signal, DM-RS, pattern for an extended cyclic prefix (CP); and estimating and detecting channel performance based on the generated DM-RS signal pattern. The DM-RS pattern supports from rank 1 to rank 8 patterns for 8 layer transmission. A transmitter, a receiver and a system thereof are also provided. The solution of the present invention improves channel estimation accuracy, saves channel estimation implementation and implementation complexity at terminals.

摘要: According to one aspect of the teachings herein, a base station (20) schedules the transmission of uplink reference signals by a wireless device (16) separately from scheduling uplink data transmissions by the device (16). The separate scheduling may be done at specific times, under specific conditions, and with respect to specific devices (16) or groups of devices (16). Separate scheduling allows, for example, the base station (20) to use smaller scheduling intervals that are possible when uplink reference signals are integrally included in any scheduled uplink data transmission. As a further advantage, the density or number of uplink reference signal transmissions by a given device (16) can be adapted, e.g., based on channel conditions, data transmission formats, etc. Correspondingly, a wireless device (16) is configured to receive separate grants for uplink data transmissions and uplink reference signal transmissions, and to make corresponding data and reference signal transmissions in accordance with those separate grants.

摘要: A method in a first wireless node for transmitting a reference signal is provided. The first wireless node operates in a wireless communications network. The first wireless node transmits the reference signal from at least two transmit antennas of the first wireless node. The reference signal is transmitted with a phase between the at least two transmit antennas indicating a desired phase related to radio conditions for reception of a transmission from a first radio node at the first wireless node. The reference signal is to be received and taken into account by one or more other radio nodes in the wireless communications network, e.g. when scheduling transmissions to other wireless nodes.

Such methods may include transmitting first control information to a wireless terminal, and the first control information may define a frequency resource available for data communication with the wireless terminal over a subframe. After transmitting the first control information, second control information may be transmitted to the wireless terminal. The second control information may define a time resource for a sub-subframe of the subframe. Communication of data may be provided between the network node and the wireless terminal during the sub-subframe of the subframe defined by the frequency resource of the first control information and the time resource of the second control information. Related network nodes and wireless terminals are also discussed.
