    摘要: A film dissolving liquid is ejected from a needle-shaped nozzle onto a peripheral edge portion of a substrate surface of a SOG film, while being subjected to the film dissolving liquid. The substrate is rotated in order to dissolve and remove the SOG film from the peripheral edge portion of the substrate. The film dissolving liquid is a solvent or mixture of two or more solvents selected from the group cyclohexanone, .gamma.-butyrolactone, ethyl lactate or ethyl pyruvate. As a result, a swelling of the SOG film is not created at the edge portion of the substrate. A crack is not therefore created at the edge portion of the SOG film, and generation of particles due to a damage at the film swelling portion thereof is prevented.

    摘要: A substrate treating method and apparatus are disclosed which are capable of heating a substrate in a stable atmosphere including the vapor of a treating liquid, without permitting the vapor of the treating liquid to condense on the substrate. The vapor of the treating liquid is mixed with a diluting gas to form a treating vapor mixture. At this time, the flow rate of the diluting gas is adjusted so that the partial pressure ratio of the vapor of the treating liquid in the treating vapor mixture increases with the passage of time. This treating vapor mixture is transmitted to a treating chamber. The treating chamber includes a substrate support table heated to a predetermined temperature. When the substrate is lowered from a separate position away from the support table to a position resting on the support table, downward displacements of the substrate are controlled so that the vapor of the treating liquid in the treating vapor mixture present adjacent the substrate surface under treatment is maintained substantially at a saturation pressure. In another method disclosed, the partial pressure ratio of the vapor of the treating liquid in the treating vapor mixture is adjusted according to the downward displacements of the substrate.

    摘要: In view of the increase in the number of cases with nephropathy in aged animals of the cat family, the invention provides a marker for early diagnosis of feline nephropathy which can substitute for the conventional complicated methods of diagnosing nephropathy such as blood examination, kidney radiography using a contrast medium, and ultrasonic image analysis. It was found that cats with nephropathy show markedly lowered levels of excretion of a novel protein (named cauxin) with a molecular weight of 70 K, which is excreted into urine in high concentrations in normal adult cats showing no clinical abnormality. When the protein is used as a marker in diagnosing feline nephropathy, feline nephropathy can be detected in a simple and exact manner.

    摘要: Disclosed is a method of diagnosing renal dysfunction in a cat by removing cauxin from cat urine and detecting a protein in the cat urine sample from which cauxin has been removed. Cauxin is removed from cat urine by bringing the cat urine into contact with a lectin or with an anti-cauxin antibody that specifically binds to cauxin. Cauxin may be removed using a column filled with a carrier that is bound to the lectin or to the anti-cauxin antibody. The lectin may be Lens culinaris lectin. Detection of the cat urinary protein from which cauxin has been removed is performed with a urine test strip.
