    Abstract: The invention concerns inhibitor compositions based on fatty sulphydryl acid and poly(ethyleneamino)imidazoline salts for considerably reducing the corrosive effect of carbon brine on iron and ferrous metals. These compositions are as efficient when the corrosive medium is driven with a high flowrate and in biphasic brine/oil medium.

    Abstract: The present invention relates to a liquid composition for the cold preparation of laminate composite materials so as to confer to them, without preliminary sanding or abrasion, a surface state favorable to adhesive bonding with polyurethane type adhesives comprising (a) at least one polar aprotic solvent (TPA); (b) at least one ether (TE) selected from ethers, ether-esters, and ether-ketones having: a molar volume less than 200 cm3/mole and preferably less than 160 cm3/mole, a molecule devoid of a hydroxyl function, and (c) at least one activator (TA) comprising at least one reactive nitrogenous function of the —NH2 and/or —NH— type of molar volume less than 100 cm3/mole.

    Abstract: Inexpensive paint stripper compositions containing neither chlorinated nor alkaline solvents and well adapted for removing paints such as glycerophtalic, alkyd-urethane or arylic urethane paints on a variety of substrates, e.g. wood and metal substrates comprise (a) 1 to 99% by volume of an aprotic polar solvent chosen from the group comprising: dimethyl sulfoxide, dimethyl formamide, N-methylpyrrolidone, N-methylmorpholine, .gamma.-butyrolactone, acetonitrile and mixtures thereof; and (b) 99 to 1% by volume of an ether selected from the family of ethers having a flash point higher than 0.degree.
