    Abstract: A compact head-up display for a vehicle includes: an image generator that displays an image on a display surface, and a semi-reflecting optical element, arranged at a distance from the image generator, that forms, on a first side of the optical element, a virtual image. The virtual image is visible from a viewing window on a second side of the optical element. The display includes an optical component that lengthens the optical path of the image passing from the image generator to the optical element. The optical component includes one entry face and one exit face, and a first reflecting face and a second reflecting face. The first reflecting face reflects the image from the entry face toward the second reflecting face. The second reflecting face reflects the image from the first reflecting face toward the exit face. The entry face is in contact with the display surface.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an active screen (220), i.e. to a light-emitting screen, comprising a matrix array of modules (222) that each form one pixel, and a matrix array (260) of control elements that are intended to address each of these modules, respectively. According to the invention, each module comprises at least three light-emitting submodules (224) that each include a three-dimensional light-emitting structure (250), and each control element is intended to individually address each submodule. A head-up display (1) comprising such a screen (220), and a device (24) for projecting images, said device being suitable for transmitting, in the direction of a semitransparent mirror (10) the images generated by said screen, is also described.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a head-up display device (1) for a vehicle (2) comprising:—an image generating unit (4) generating a primary light beam (7) representing a scene to be displayed, and—an optical projection system (8, 9) for projecting this scene onto an individual (3) situated inside the vehicle, the optical projection system comprising a return mirror (8) having a first face (10) and a second face (11), the first face being turned towards the image generating unit so as to reflect the primary light beam towards a combiner (9) adapted to form an image (16) of the scene visible by the individual. According to the invention, the device comprises at least one element (18) facing the second face of the return mirror and adapted to emit a secondary light beam (19) in the direction of this second face, the secondary light beam being transmitted through the return mirror towards the combiner forming an image (20) of the element visible by the individual.

    Abstract: The invention relates to a compact head-up display (1), in particular for a motor vehicle, comprising: an image generator (9) for displaying an image (7) on a display surface (2); a semi-reflective optical element (3), typically a windscreen, arranged at a distance from the image generator (9) so as to form a virtual image (4) of the image (7) from the image generator (9) on a first side of the optical element (3), said virtual image (4) being visible from a view window (5) located on a second side of the optical element (3). The first reflective surface (15) reflects the image from the input surface (14) towards the second reflective surface (16), and the second reflective surface (16) reflects the image (7) from the first reflective surface (15) towards the output surface (17), the input surface (14) also being substantially in contact with the display surface (2) of the image generator (9). The image generator (9) and the optical part (10) move together.

    Abstract: The invention relates to an image generator, particularly for head-up display with an adjustable viewing window, particularly for motor vehicle. The image generator is configured to display an image (7) on a display surface (2). The image (7) is for a semi-reflective optical element (3) arranged spaced apart from the image generator and configured to form, on a first side of the optical element (3), a virtual image (4) of the image (7). The virtual image (4) is visible from a viewing window (5) located on a second side of the optical element (4).
