Abstract:
A package for a battery cell is disclosed. The package includes a first sheet having a coating layer disposed thereon, a second sheet having a coating layer disposed thereon, the first sheet and the second sheet cooperating to form a cavity to receive the battery cell therein, and a frame disposed adjacent a portion of at least one of the first sheet and the second sheet, wherein the frame is coupled to at least one of the first sheet and the second sheet.

Abstract:
H2A.Z containing nucleosomes mediate the thermosensory response in plants and other eukaryotes and modifications to H2A.Z alter such responses.
Abstract:
A microCHP unit including at least one pump (20) and/or fan for circulating a cooling fluid or air through the microCHP unit in normal operation. The microCHP unit comprises an electric power source (32) that is independent from the mains power supply. It also comprises a voltage converter (42) or inverter (44) or both connected between the independent power source (32) and the cooling pump(s) (20) and/or fan(s) (28) of the microCHP unit for converting a supply voltage from the independent electric power source (32) to a different voltage for operating the pump(s) (20) and/or fan(s) (28). A controller (34) is provided to cause the cooling pump(s) 20 and/or fan(s) (28) to operate in the absence of mains power. A charging device (48) is provided to recharge the independent power source (32) when the mains power supply is available.
Abstract:
A method is devoted to the transmission, via a wave-based transmission infrastructure (RC) using an access method relying on multiplexing that is at least time division multiplexing, of content from at least one channel, each piece of content being arranged into one base data layer and at least one enhancement data layer, respectively associated with different transmission time slices, and broken down into portions transmitted during the time slices respectively associated with their layers. This method comprises i) the insertion, in a chosen location of each portion of a base data layer to be transmitted, within a chosen network layer, of at least one learning sequence processed according to a configuration scheme identical to that used to process said enhancement data layer, and ii) upon receiving a portion of a base data layer of a piece of content within a terminal (TC), extracting said learning sequence inserted into a chosen network layer, then estimating the reception quality based on that extracted learning sequence, and allowing it to use the next portion of said content's said enhancement data layer whenever the estimated quality is above a chosen threshold.
Abstract:
For each of a set of business application classes on an application server, a web service class consisting of a separate web service method for each of a set of actions is generated. Each web service method contains a call to an interface web service method stored on a web server. The interface web service method is capable of calling a method on the application server. Once generated, the web service classes are compiled into an assembly and are stored on the web server.
Abstract:
Diffusion media for use in PEM fuel cells are provided with silicone coatings. The media are made of a porous electroconductive substrate, a first hydrophobic fluorocarbon polymer coating adhered to the substrate, and a second coating comprising a hydrophobic silicone polymer adhered to the substrate. The substrate is preferably a carbon fiber paper, the hydrophobic fluorocarbon polymer is PTFE or similar polymer, and the silicone is moisture curable.
Abstract:
Aspects of the subject matter described herein relate to processing payment requests. In aspects, a user of an online system is allowed to pay for goods or services using a combination or one or more payment types including credit card, cash card, gift certificate, purchase order, money order, other payment types, and the like. A payment router determines which payment processor(s) needs to be involved to satisfy each payment request and routes payment requests to each payment processor as needed. Adding new payment methods and changing existing payment methods may be accomplished by changing a table or the like that associates payment methods with payment processors.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a novel process for the preparation of compounds of formula (I) wherein X, Q, R1 and R2 are as defined in the specification, the compounds being useful in the preparation of therapeutic agents. The invention further relates to novel intermediates useful in the preparation of the therapeutic agents.
Abstract:
A security model is provided that controls access to a secured application. Under the security model, a submitting user is authenticated when the user submits a message to have the application perform an action. The application is then used to determine if the submitting user is authorized to submit messages on behalf of a source endpoint stored in the message. A method in the application is then invoked to perform the action while impersonating a source endpoint user stored in the message.
