摘要： A home server for service convergence and energy-saving, and a method for controlling the same are disclosed to provide broadcast services, Internet services, game platform services, and a broadband network distribution function required by each home network. The home server includes a broadcast processor, a service, a network distribution, a power-supply unit for providing a power-supply signal to each module of the home server, and a power-supply controller. The power-supply controller controls on/off operations of the power-supply signal transmitted from the power-supply unit to each module of the home server according to services and operation states of the service processor and the network distribution unit.

摘要： There are provided a home gateway system providing an optical communication packet data interface function and a home broadcast service providing method using the same. The home gateway system is constructed to include a network processor having two Ethernet interfaces connected to a system control processor of a home gateway and an Ethernet switch having an Ethernet multicast traffic processing/IGMP snooping function based on an Ethernet L2 multicast MAC table to thereby simultaneously provide a broadcast service such as a CATV broadcast service, and an Internet data service to a plurality of hosts in a home. In case of a broadcast service, the home gateway system converts a broadcast stream into an IP multicast packet and then processes the broadcast IP multicast packet by an L2 multicast function of an Ethernet switch, thereby making it possible to directly transmit the broadcast IP multicast packet to a host without the help of the control processor.

摘要： An energy-aware home gateway based on a network protocol includes a network matching module for performing a physical network interface function on a home and an external network; a processor module for performing an operation and a control function of a system in a active state in which service traffic exists; a memory module used as a system memory of the processor module; and a service function module controlled by the processor module and performing a service function depending on a use state. The home gateway further includes a network protocol agent module for processing control traffic in an idle state in which no service traffic exists; and a power supply module for supplying power to the overall system in the normal active state and for supplying power to the network matching module, the memory module, and the network protocol agent module in the idle state.

摘要： Provided is a superconducting cable provided with an enhanced cooling ability, the superconducting cable including a core including a superconducting wire rod; an inner sheath surrounding the core; an outer sheath surrounding the inner sheath; a plurality of communication pipes that have both ends communicating with the inner and outer sheaths, and are mounted in the longitudinal direction of the inner and outer sheaths; a plurality of valves that are mounted in the communication pipes; and a plurality of auxiliary cooling systems that are mounted on some of the communication pipes. Cooling fluid supplied from the cooling systems is supplied into the inner sheath through the communication pipes, and is then discharged to the outside through the valves.
