    摘要: A composition universally usable as an impact modifier for synthetic resins comprising(A) from 10 to 80 percent by weight of a polymer of the formula ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen or methyl, R.sub.2 is C.sub.5 -C.sub.7 cycloalkyl or such cycloalkyl substituted by C.sub.1 -C.sub.12 alkyl, y has a value such that the corresponding monomer or monomers are from 5 to 50 percent by weight of polymer (A), and x has a value such that the corresponding monomer, together with up to 20 percent by weight of one or more optional comonomers, is the balance by weight, and(B) from 20 to 90 percent by weight of an optionally crosslinked polymer having a glass transition temperature, T.sub.g, below 10.degree. C. and preferably less than -10.degree. C., polymer (B) being at least partially bonded covalently to polymer (A).

    摘要: This invention relates to high impact strength polymer blends containing at least two two-phase or multiphase polymers P1 and P2, which in turn contain at least one toughening phase A1 or A2 and at least one hardness phase B1 or B2. B1 and B2 differ in chemical structure and are thermodynamically compatible with one another. The polymer blend optionally contains another thermoplastic polymer B'3 and/or another two-phase or multiphase polymer P4 contain at least one toughening phase A4 and at least one hardness phase B4, provided that B'3 and/or B4 are different from B1 and B2 and are thermodynamically compatible with B1 and B2.

    摘要: A method for producing branched polymerizates by radical polymerization of monomers in two stages comprisingin a first stage, adding 10 to 500 parts by weight of at least one monomer M.sub.1 and 0.1 to 20 parts by weight of a mercaptan with an olefinic, radically polymerizable double bond RM as a molecular weight regulator, and polymerizing said at least one monomer M.sub.1 and mercaptan RM to form a copolymer MM.sub.1 in the presence of at least one polymerization initiator and 0 to 100 parts by weight of an inert, non-aqueous solvent, which completely dissolves the monomer M.sub.1, the mercaptan RM and the copolymer MM.sub.1, where the polymerizable double bonds and M.sub.1 and RM have a reactivity, expressed by a copolymerization parameter r, between 0.1 and 10, andin a second stage, adding 10 to 2000 parts by weight of a monomer M.sub.2 and 0.01 to 10 parts by weight of a saturated molecular weight regulator, and optionally, an inert, non-aqueous solvent, to the reaction mixture formed in the first stage, and polymerizing in the presence of at least one polymerization initiator to form a branched polymerizate.
