    摘要： A coalescing filter assembly and a corresponding cover are disclosed. The assembly is mounted to a rotating component substantially within an engine crankcase, and is synchronously rotated with the rotating component about an axis. Vent gas of the engine crankcase is in fluid communication with the coalescing filter assembly through one or more inlet ports. The coalescing filter assembly is preferably mounted to a gear and includes a filter located within a cavity formed between a first housing element and a second housing element. The coalescing filter assembly components are substantially concentric with the axis about which the gear rotates, and the assembly and gear synchronously rotate with one another. The cover preferably includes a diaphragm to control the rate of flow of vent gas from the engine crankcase through the coalescing filter assembly into the outlet conduit of the cover.

    摘要： A disposable, spin-on fluid filter for mounting to a fluid-directing head includes a molded housing having a closed base and a sidewall defining a hollow cavity. Filtering media is positioned within the hollow cavity and a nutplate is joined to the housing so as to enclose the filtering media. The nutplate includes a plurality of inlet flow openings and a lobed sleeve extending into the filtering media. An endplate is joined to the filtering media including a flange portion and a sleeve portion. The fluid filter includes an elastomeric valve having a first portion positioned between the flange portion and the inlet flow openings and a second portion positioned between the sleeve portion and the lobed sleeve. The valve provides an anti-drain back capability and in cooperation with the lobed sleeve provides a filtering media by-pass capability.

    摘要： A coalescing filter for separating oil from a blowby gas stream includes a coalescing filter element designed with a plurality of relatively small flow-through pores which have the potential for creating a high restriction when wetted due to the surface tension which results. In order to reduce the restriction level, the coalescing filter is attached to a rotating component, such as a gear, so that rotary motion is imparted to the coalescing filter and centrifugal force is generated across the plurality of flow-through pores. By generating centrifugal force, any oil which might otherwise remain in said pores so as to clog the pores is spun out so that the pores of the coalescing filter element remain in a "dry" condition such that any restriction to continued flow is substantially lower than the restriction level when the pores are wetted.

    摘要： A fuel-water filter/separator for threaded connection to a mounting base has a shell and a filtering media positioned within the shell. The shell has an open top end and a substantially closed bottom end. The shell is made of an opaque plastic except for a window in the shell made from a substantially clear plastic. The substantially clear plastic in the window being insert molded to the opaque plastic. The filtering media is positioned within the shell for filtering fuel. The shell defines a water collection portion beneath the filtering media, the window of the shell being positioned such that it overlaps at least a part of the water collection portion to allow water level monitoring.
