摘要: A battery is arranged outside a compartment. A service plug is arranged in the compartment. The service plug is a shutoff device that can shut off an output path of the battery by a manual operation. When a vehicle is hard hit at the front and a circuit of PCU is damaged, an excessive current may flow to the PCU, possibly generating heat or smoke from the PCU. When the vehicle goes wrong, a person on board the vehicle may pull out the service plug, whereby the power supply path from battery to PCU can be shut off.

摘要: A stator provided with annular split stator cores, formed by stacking steel plates. Each plate includes a yoke and a stator tooth. The cores include a yoke portion a stator tooth portion. The stator is manufactured by arranging an electromagnetic steel plate between a first die and a second die. The first die has a hole shaped as a steel plate. The second die has a projection inserted into the hole and shaped as a steel plate. The steel plates are formed by the first and the second dies. In a gap between an inner surface of the first die that defines the hole and an outer surface of the projection, a gap at a part that forms the stator tooth portion is larger than a gap at a part that defines a circumferential end surface of the yoke portion located in a circumferential direction of the stator core.

The split stator cores each includes a yoke portion extending in a circumferential direction of the stator core and a stator tooth protruding from the yoke portion. On at least part of side surfaces of the stator tooth that are arranged in a circumferential direction of the stator core, a radial end surface of the stator tooth that is located radially inward of the stator core, and, of radial end surfaces of the yoke portion that are arranged in a radial direction of the stator core, the radial end surface at which the stator tooth is formed, a rough surface portion is formed having surface roughness greater than that of circumferential end surfaces of the yoke portion that are located in a circumferential direction of the stator core.

摘要: Front left and right wheel units are driven by an engine and a motor generator. Rear left and right wheel units are independently driven by in-wheel motor type motor generators. The motor generator and the motor generator are configured to have different rated outputs, respectively, and be subjected to different speed reduction ratios, respectively, between the motor generators and their respectively associated drive wheel units, and thus have characteristics, respectively, in efficiency with respect to torque and vehicular speed, that exhibit high efficiency in mutually different output ranges, respectively. When a mileage oriented mode is selected as a traveling mode, an ECU determines how a drive torque should be allocated between the motor generators, as based on the motors' required drive torque and vehicular speed and on each motor generator's characteristic in efficiency, to maximize the motor generators' total efficiency.

A temperature sensor (22) is affixed in a hole in the molded resin (12) by the terminal base (20) and measures the temperature in the vicinity of a heat producing source.

摘要: Motor-generators are incorporated in front wheels and drive the front wheels, respectively. An ECU determines whether or not a steering apparatus including a steering actuator, a tie rod and a steering angle sensor has failed, based on an operation angle of a steering wheel from a steering wheel angle sensor and a steering angle of the front wheels from the steering angle sensor. When the ECU determines that the steering apparatus has failed, the ECU provides torque difference for a torque instruction for the motor-generators in accordance with the operation angle of the steering wheel.
