摘要: An opposed reflecting mirror is provided so as to face a light source. The opposed reflecting mirror is configured to reflect light rays, emitted from the light source, so as to allow the reflected light rays to advance in a predetermined direction. A light guide body having a plurality of reflecting surfaces is provided to permit the incidence of light rays supplied from the opposed reflecting mirror and to reflect the incident light rays. The plurality of reflecting surfaces are located at different positions in a sliding split manner along the direction of light rays supplied from the opposed reflecting mirror. By virtue of this construction, a light emitting apparatus can be provided in which, while making the best use of a feature of LED, i.e., a small thickness, impressive illumination of an elongated shape by one light emitting device and high external emission efficiency can be realized. The arrangement of a plurality of light emitting apparatuses of the above type at predetermined intervals can provide on-vehicle or other displays of a novel and unconventional design.

摘要: In an illumination device for license plate which illuminates the license plate from the front side thereof, at least one light source consist of a white LED is arranged at a position upward or obliquely upward of the license plate in such a manner that optical axes thereof traverse with a lower range than the center of the license plate, and a reflector is arranged at a position obliquely downward seen from an observer's side of the light source, receiving a light directing to the observer's side from a portion of a light emitted from the light source, and converting the light into a light irradiating the center or the lower part of the license plate. Further, a garnish for accommodating the light source and having a light transmitting part can be provided to the illumination device.

摘要: A casing accommodates therein three primary colors of chip LEDs. The casing is disposed in a through hole of a plate-shaped light guide. The chip LEDs are mounted on both surfaces of a substrate so as to face a peripheral surface of the through hole (light incident surface). The casing is made of a transparent synthetic resin accommodating therein the substrate and the chip LEDs. The light emitted from the chip LEDs can be introduced directly into the light incident surface of the light guide. The three primary color of chip LEDs are controlled so that a desired color and intensity of light can be efficiently introduced into the light guide.

The light-guiding member has a light reflection surface that reflects light to be plane-radiated from the LED and that allows the reflected light to be radiated in a desired direction, and a light radiation surface that allows direct light to be directly emitted from the LED and the reflected light to be externally radiated by the light radiation surface.

摘要: A heat-sensitive hot-melt image transfer sheet transfers an ink image to a recording sheet when selectively heated by the heating element of the thermal head of a thermal printer. The image transfer sheet comprises a base coated on a surface thereof with a matrix of circular hot-melt ink dots at a constant pitch. The hot-melt ink dots are selectively meltable with heat applied through the base by the heating elements for transferring an ink image to the recording sheet held against the matrix of hot-melt ink dots.
