    摘要: An improved process for producing maleic anhydride which comprises catalytically oxidizing benzene with a molecular oxygen-containing gas in the vapor phase in a multitubular heat-exchanger-type reactor. The process is characterized in thata catalyst-packed layer of the reactor is divided into a gas inlet side layer and a gas outlet side layer,the activity of the gas inlet side layer is controlled by adding at least one component selected from the group consisting of potassium, cesium, thallium and rubidium as a promoter or by decreasing the amount of phosphorus pentoxide (P.sub.2 O.sub.5) to be added in the catalytically active substance containing vanadium pentoxide, molybdenum trioxide and sodium oxide, andthe activity of the gas outlet side layer is increased by decreasing the amount of at least one component selected from the group consisting of potassium, cesium, thallium, rubidium, magnesium, calcium, strontium and barium or by not adding such a component from that in the catalyst, or by increasing the amount of phosphorus pentoxide (P.sub.2 O.sub.5) from the gas inlet side catalyst.

    摘要: An ultrasonic-wave distance measuring apparatus of the separate transmission and reception type reflection system capable of making the measurable distance longer and improving the precision of the measuring, wherein a distance measurement calculation control circuit in an ultrasonic-wave transmitter starts counting a time simultaneously with the start of vibration of an ultrasonic-wave transmission sensor, the ultrasonic-wave emitted from the ultrasonic-wave transmission sensor is reflected at the object to be measured and detected by an ultrasonic-wave reception sensor, a distance measurement sensitivity correction circuit corrects the sensitivity of the signal from the ultrasonic-wave reception sensor based on sensitivity correction data predetermined in accordance with a type of object and a measurement distance, the signal after the sensitivity correction by the distance measurement sensitivity correction circuit is detected in a detection circuit, and the distance measurement calculation control circuit stops counting when the detection signal exceeds a predetermined level, measures the time from the start of vibration of the ultrasonic-wave transmission sensor to the reception by the ultrasonic-wave reception sensor, and calculates the distance between the object to be measured and the ultrasonic-wave transmission sensor based on the obtained time.

    摘要: A complex material, which emits light with a light hand or finger touch of a person and only when subjected to a stress, comprises stress emission particles and an elastic material. The stress emission particles such as SrAl2O4:Eu particles emit light when subjected to a stress. The elastic material is a soft material having a Young's modulus smaller than 10 MPa, such as silicone rubber, synthetic rubber, natural rubber, or the like. Weight percent of the particles in the complex material is from equal to or more than 10% to less than 100%, ore preferably from equal to or less more than 10% to equal to or less than 90%. The particles are preferably surface-treated by a silane coupling agent. The complex material is used as an artificial light-emitting skin or an artificial light-emitting body.

The portable telephone is comprised of: an antenna; a microphone; a transmitting circuit for modulating a first audio signal to produce a first radio signal, and transmitting the same; a receiving circuit for demodulating a second radio signal received via the antenna, and reproducing a second audio signal; a receiver for outputting an audio sound corresponding to the second audio signal; a printed circuit board on which the receiving and the transmitting circuits are mounted; a shield case surrounding the printed circuit board so as to suppress the electromagnetic interference between the printed circuit board and the antenna; the housing for accommodating the shield case and so on; the electromagnetic wave absorption layer including a magnetic loss material, formed at least in a part between the shield case and the housing; and the electromagnetic wave reflection layer including a magnetic reflection material, formed between the housing and the electromagnetic wave absorption layer.
