    摘要: Method for optically analyzing a specimen by using two light beams comprises steps of initiating automatically wavelength scanning operation when a predetermined time has elapsed after the switching-on of a power source, sampling a ratio between a reference light intensity and a specimen light intensity during the wavelength scanning operation when no specimen to be measured is placed in the sample cell, and storing signals derived from the sampling operation in a volatile memory. When the specimen is to be measured or analyzed, the measure signal representative of ratio between the reference light intensity and the specimen transmitting light intensity which are produced or the wavelength scanning operation proceeds is corrected by the corresponding signal read out from the volatile memory in accordance with the wavelength of the measure signal, and the corrected signals are processed as the error-free measure signal.

    摘要: Test strip supply apparatus includes a rotatable container which has guide part materials for holding a through groove and a weight. Under a supporting table having a take-out hole for the test strip dropped from the through groove of the container, a conveyance stage is provided for receiving the test strip dropped from the through groove and transferring it. The weight facing near both ends of the through groove lets the test strip descend and prevents a surplus number of the test strips from entering the through groove.

    摘要: A test strip supply apparatus comprises a cylindrical container having an elongate test strip fitting penetration slot formed in its side wall, a container support having a semicylindrical concave surface formed in its upper portion and a test strip take-out hole formed at the center of the concave surface for allowing a test strip dropped from the penetration slot of the container to pass therethrough, and a test strip transfer stage for receiving the test strip dropped from the penetration slot and transferring it. A test strip reversing function is also provided such that during the transfer of the test strip by the transfer stage, optical means determines whether the test strip is placed facing properly or not and, if the back surface is on the upper side, the test strip is reversed upside down before further transfer.

    摘要: Before analysis, the correspondence between the vessel positions and the reaction vessels held in the vessel positions respectively at the time of completion of all the operations of a turntable upon completion of the last analysis are stored in a computer in advance. When a start switch is turned on, a judgment is made as to whether the correspondences between the vessel positions and the reaction vessels coincide with those stored in the computer or not. In the case of coincidence, reaction vessels in vessel positions are regarded as having been already cleaned, so that these reaction vessels are subjected to blank measurement and sample addition in the case of optical measurement, whereas these reaction vessels are directly subjected to sample addition in the case of ISE measurement.

    摘要: A slide specimen extracted from a cassette at a receiving position is carried to a holding position for waiting by a carrier along a carrying pass. While at the holding position, a previously inspected specimen that has been observed through a microscope is placed on the carrying pass at a specimen replacing position. Thereafter the specimen that has been held at the holding position is carried to the replacing position by the carrier, while at the same time the specimen that has just been placed at the replacing position is moved along the carrying pass by the carrier. The specimen then placed in the replacing position is picked up by a pair of holding arms and carried to an observing position of the microscope. The specimen is retained by vacuum adsorption and by specimen retainers which resiliently hold it by means of springs in contact with the vacuum adsorption surface. In the meantime, the specimen that has already been observed and shifted toward the specimen feeder is moved the rest of the way to the specimen feeder and replaced into the original cassette from which it was extracted. After replacing the specimen, a new specimen is extracted and carried to the holding position as the process is repeated until all of the slide specimens have been observed.

    摘要: A sample container containing a urine sample is transferred by a sample positioning device to a liquid level sensing position. At this sensing position, the liquid level in the sample container is detected by a level sensor, followed by transfer of the sample container to a dipping position. A liquid level rising member is then inserted into the sample container. While being held by a handling device, a test strip is dipped into the sample in the sample container with the liquid level raised. Thereafter, the test strip is lifted out of the sample container and transferred to a measuring device. Color development in reagent sections on the test strip is measured by a photometer in terms of the reflected light strength. With the present invention, analysis using test strips can be implemented even when the sample volume into the sample container is small.
