    摘要： A portable engine-operated electric generator includes an engine having an output shaft and including heated and unheated components required for operation of the engine, a generator unit having an input shaft and drivable by the engine, the engine and the generator unit being vertically arranged, the output shaft of the engine and the input shaft of the generator unit being coupled to each other in axial alignment in a vertical direction, and a sound insulating case accommodating the engine and the generator unit and having a horizontal longitudinal axis. The heated and unheated components are separated from each other by, and located on opposite sides of, a plane lying in the vertical direction and in a direction normal to the horizontal longitudinal axis.

    摘要： In a camera system according to the invention, a camera body and an interchangeable lens have respective identification data tables that are congruous with each other. As an appropriate data address is indicated to the interchangeable lens by the camera body, an identification data that is stored in the identification data storage section and corresponds to the indicated address is transmitted from the interchangeable lens to the camera body. The identification data judging section of the camera body compares the identification data transmitted back from the interchangeable lens and the identification data that is stored in the identification data storage section and corresponds to the address. As a result, it is determined if the dedicated accessory device is mounted on the camera body or not.

    摘要： A seal structure in an engine, including a seal member interposed between a cylinder head having a slanting face portion at least at an intermediate portion of its upper end face to which a valve-operating cam chamber opens, and a head cover coupled to the upper end face of the cylinder head by a bolt to close the valve-operating cam chamber. The head cover has a fit wall portion formed thereon and fitted to an inner peripheral surface of the valve-operating cam chamber, and the seal member is mounted in a seal groove provided in an outer peripheral surface of the fit wall portion to come into close contact with an inner peripheral surface of the cylinder head. Thus, an interference can be provided equally at various portions of the seal member irrespective of the number of bolts used, and the seal member can always exhibit a good seal function.

    摘要： In a valve-operating mechanism in a 4-cycle engine, a timing transmitting device is disposed on one side of an engine body. A cam device includes a cam coupled to a driven pulley of the timing transmitting device on one side of a cylinder head, intake and exhaust rocker shafts rotatably carried in the cylinder head, intake and exhaust cam followers secured to one ends of the rocker shafts with their tip ends in sliding contact with the cam, and intake and exhaust rocker arms secured to the other ends of the intake and exhaust rocker shafts with their tip ends abutting against the intake and exhaust valves. Thus, the cam of the cam device can be disposed on one side of the cylinder head to effectively reduce the entire height of the engine.

    摘要： In a handheld type four-cycle engine, the lubricating system includes an oil tank placed outside an engine main body, a through hole providing communication between the oil tank and a crank chamber, an oil feed pipe placed outside the engine main body and providing communication between the crank chamber and a valve operation chamber of a cylinder head, an oil return pipe placed outside the engine main body and providing communication between the valve operation chamber and the oil tank, and a one-way valve for transferring oil from the crank chamber to the valve operation chamber side via the oil feed pipe. The side walls of the engine main body can thus be made thinner and the weight of the engine main body can therefore be reduced regardless of the presence of the oil feed pipe and the oil return pipe.

    摘要： An exposure control apparatus of a camera includes a first switch which can select a plurality of drive modes including an auto-exposure bracket mode (AEB mode), a second switch which issues signals when operated, a third switch which can modify an exposure correcting value and a memory which stores a plurality of predetermined exposure correcting values. A drive mode selector successively selects the drive modes in response to signals from the second switch when the second switch is actuated during the operation of the first switch. A modifying device successively selects an exposure correcting value to be used to correct the exposure value among those stored in the memory in response to signals issued from the second switch when the latter is actuated during the operation of the third switch. A photographing controller is provided which takes a plurality of pictures at different exposure values in an exposure width correcting values selected by the modifying device when the AEB mode is selected. The controller also interrupts photographing when a release switch is turned OFF.
