    摘要: In an automotive subframe having a rectangular annular shape as seen in plan view, the longitudinal members have closed cross sections, but the lateral members open cross sections and are provided with open parts adapted to receive a flange projecting from the fuel tank. Because the lateral members have open cross sections, the subframe is capable of undergoing a twisting deformation relatively easily, and the sloshing movement of the fuel inside the fuel tank would not be directly transmitted to the vehicle body. Because the longitudinal members have closed cross sections, and therefore have a relatively high rigidity, the wheel suspension system can be securely supported without creating any possibility of changes in the wheel alignment. Furthermore, the open part of the lateral subframe member can conveniently receive the flange of the fuel tank, and it is possible to maximize the capacity of the fuel tank without causing any interference between the fuel tank and the lateral member.

    摘要: A multi-link type suspension system includes a knuckle for rotatably supporting an axle, an upper arm extending laterally of the vehicle body to connect the knuckle with the vehicle body above the axle, a leading arm extending outwardly and forwardly of the vehicle body from a rear inside position of the vehicle body to connect the knuckle with the vehicle body above the axle, a lower arm extending laterally of the vehicle body to connect the knuckle with the vehicle body below the axle, a trailing arm extending outwardly and rearwardly of the vehicle body from a front inside position of the vehicle body to connect the knuckle with the vehicle body below the axle, and a control arm extending laterally of the vehicle body to connect the knuckle with the vehicle body in rear of the axle. The longitudinal distance from an outer end of the control arm to an outer end of the leading arm is set larger than a longitudinal distance from an outer end of the upper arm to the outer end of the leading arm, and a longitudinal distance from the outer end of the control arm to an outer end of the trailing arm is set larger than a longitudinal distance from an outer end of the lower arm to the outer end of the trailing arm. Thus, it is possible to produce a toe-in during braking to enhance the steering stability.

    摘要: A leak fuel gas discharging structure for an automobile includes a hollow reinforcement member extending between a floor panel and a wheel house and interconnecting an underfloor space and an internal space of the wheel house. The wheel house has a portion facing a filler recess and having an opening which through which the filler recess and the internal space of the wheel house are connected together. The filler recess is normally closed by a filler lid with a clearance defined between a peripheral edge of the filler lid and a peripheral edge of the filler recess. By the structure thus arranged, a fuel gas, leaking from a fuel tank disposed in the underfloor space, is discharged outside the vehicle body.

    摘要: An integrated valve unit for a pressure control circuit which comprises a case, a drier wholely contained in the case, and a check valve formed and positioned in an inlet of the case having a longitudinal axis perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the case. The check valve includes a cylinder chamber formed in the case having two end faces and a side wall, a fluid inlet port formed in one of the end faces, a pair of discharge ports in the side wall longitudinally spaced from each other and opening into the case, an axially slidable piston inserted into the chamber, a biasing member urging the piston towards one end face having the fluid inlet port formed therein, and an elastic seal member fixed to the piston member. The piston is capable of selectably closing the discharge ports upon axial sliding thereof. The elastic seal member is capable of sealing the portion of one end face including the fluid inlet port as the piston member slides toward that one end face. The elastic seal member can be shaped as a cup-shaped member fixed to the inlet port end face of a cylindrical piston and can have a smaller area then that of the piston end face to which it is affixed. The difference in areas of the seal member and the face of the piston operates to provide a substantially instantaneous opening and closing response to the valve which effectively prevents chattering and vibration.

The guide assembly comprises a first lateral link having a first end coupled to the frame and a second end coupled to the front end of the longitudinal arm, the first lateral link extending substantially in the transverse direction of the vehicle, and a link assembly coupling the frame and the longitudinal arm to each other and cooperating with the first lateral link.
