摘要: [Problems] Prior art technology has a problem in that when a plant is cultivated for a long period of time on a polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) film having its lower surface positioned in contact with a nutrient fluid, plant roots that have formed penetrate through the film.[Means to solve the problems] A plant cultivation system wherein the PVA film has an equilibrium degree of swelling in the range of from 125 to 250% as measured in water at 30° C. and has a loss tangent (tan δ) in the range of from 0.005 to 0.2 as measured in an equilibrium swollen state in water at 30° C., and a method for cultivating a plant by using this plant cultivation system.[Industrial applicability] Plant cultivation can be performed for a long period of time while avoiding infection by bacteria and the like causative of plant diseases. Therefore, the present invention is useful in, e.g., agriculture and the manufacture of pharmaceuticals.

摘要: A hinge device for a console box includes a body arm 21 fixed to a console body; a shaft on the body arm; a lid arm attached to a console lid and pivotally supported on the shaft; and elastic members windingly provided on the shaft and one end of which is fixed to the body arm and the other end is fixed to the lid arm. The lid arm is pivotally supported on the shaft so as to be turned around from which the console lid closes the console body so that the console body is openable. The elastic members consist of a first torsion coil spring that urges the lid arm in a closed state in the opening direction and a second torsion coil spring that urges the turned-around lid arm in the closing direction. Thereby, the console lid that closes the console body is urged in the opening direction and also the turned-around console lid is urged in the closing direction without remarkably decreasing the service life of the hinge device.

摘要: An electrophoretic gel comprising at least one crosslinked temperature-responsive polymeric compound having an LCST is disclosed. A method of separating and recovering substances involves conducting the electrophoresis of a sample containing substances to be separated using the electrophoretic gel at a temperature below the LCST, excising each portion of the gel containing the substance to be separated and raising the temperature of the excised portion to a temperature above the LCST to shrink the excised portion to recover the substances.
