Abstract: The liquid permeability and liquid diffusion of absorbent body is enhanced. (i) A belt-like main sheet formed of a non-woven fabric sheet constituting at least part of a first main surface is conveyed in a longitudinal direction of the main sheet; (ii) a slit is formed in the non-woven fabric sheet at a first position on a conveying path; (iii) at a second position, particulate matter absorbing and retaining liquid is dispersed into the first main surface, in such a way that the particulate matter is held in the non-woven fabric sheet; and (iv) at a third position, a covering sheet which prevents passage of the particulate matter is overlaid on the first main surface. At the second position, the non-woven fabric sheet includes a bulky structure which constitutes at least part of the first main surface and which has voids allowing the particulate matter to enter.

Abstract: Provided is a manufacturing apparatus for manufacturing a composite stretchable member capable of improving a function of preventing cutting by reducing a defect in which an elastic member is detached from a groove of a conveying roller. The guide device includes a guide member that guides the elastic members to respective multiple grooves on an outer peripheral surface of a conveying roller of the bonding device. The guide member is disposed to allow the elastic members positioned between the guide grooves and the corresponding grooves of the conveying roller to each have a length of 30 mm or less.

Abstract: Using a conveyance roller having an outer peripheral surface which is capable of conveying two sheets with an elastic element sandwiched therebetween, in a longitudinal direction of the sheets, and formed with a convex section; and a clamping and pressing device, the sheets with the elastic element sandwiched therebetween are ultrasonic-welded together under pressing. Abstract: An elastic resin material having a thermoplastic elastic resin as a main component is heated and melted, and the elastic resin material is discharged in a film or a linear shape from a discharge mechanism to form a film-shape or a linear-shape intermediate product. At a temperature above the temperature region at which the elastic resin material elastically deforms, extending is performed until the thickness or width of the film-shape intermediate product or the thickness of the linear-shape intermediate product assumes a prescribed value; with a cooling roller, the intermediate product is cooled to the temperature region at which the elastic resin material elastically deforms, and the intermediate product is hardened, forming a film-shape or linear-shape elastic member. The elastic member is stretched with a stretch roller to a prescribed stretching ratio, and the stretched elastic member is laminated on and bonded to a first base material sheet.

The elastic sheet and non-woven fabrics are stacked and joined to obtain a stretchable composite sheet.

Abstract: In the present invention, an elastic resin material having a thermoplastic elastic resin is extruded into a sheet shape on a die and made to have a thickness that varies along the width direction, and then is cooled, to a temperature in which the elastic resin material elastically deforms, to form a sheet body that varies in thickness along the width direction, and a stretchable sheet is formed by laminating and joining base sheets. The sheet body includes at least two first and second regions adjacent to each other in the width direction, and the thicknesses of the second regions are greater than that of the first regions. In a wearable article, the stretchable sheet is disposed so that at least a portion of the second regions is closer to an opening around a body or an opening around a leg of the disposable wearable article than the first regions.
