摘要: A method of insert molding comprises placing in a first mold a curable rubber composition comprising a reactive species; placing on a surface of the rubber composition a first thermoplastic material in a film or layer comprising a group reactive with the reactive species of the rubber composition; curing the rubber composition in the mold to form a first molded article of cured rubber having a first thermoplastic material layer covalently bonded through reactive of the reactive species and the group; placing the first molded article as an insert into a second mold, the cured rubber contacting an inside surface of the second mold and the thermoplastic layer facing into the second mold cavity; closing the second mold and injecting into the second mold a second thermoplastic material that to form a second molded article comprising the first molded article thermally welded and/or covalently bonded to the second thermoplastic material.

摘要: Using a conveyance roller having an outer peripheral surface which is capable of conveying two sheets with an elastic element sandwiched therebetween, in a longitudinal direction of the sheets, and formed with a convex section; and a clamping and pressing device, the sheets with the elastic element sandwiched therebetween are ultrasonic-welded together under pressing. The convex section is formed in a shape extending along a line intersecting a conveyance direction of the conveyance roller, and the convex section is provided with a plurality of grooves at positions spaced apart from each other in a longitudinal direction thereof, wherein each of the grooves extends in the conveyance direction of the conveyance roller to allow a portion of the sheets on which the elastic element is disposed, to be inserted therein.

摘要: In accordance with presently disclosed embodiments, a tire monitoring system is provided. The tire monitoring system utilizes a heat sensor embedded in a solid rubber tire. The heat sensor detects a temperature of the solid tire, and a transmission system transmits signals indicative of the temperature from the heat sensor to a remote monitoring system. The remote monitoring system may monitor the temperature of the solid tire and output notifications to alert a user when preventive maintenance is needed. The heat sensor may be embedded in the solid rubber tire during the manufacture of the solid tire, or the heat sensor may be embedded into the solid tire after production of the tire is complete. The system may be used track cure time and temperature as the tire is being produced and/or to log tire performance information throughout the operation of the tire.

The foamable composition comprises non-foamed thermoplastic polyurethane particles and a foaming agent, wherein the non-foamed thermoplastic polyurethane particles have a viscosity between 10,000 poise and 40,000 poise measured at 170° C. according to JISK 7311 test method.

摘要: A tire mold vent assembly includes a cylindrical vent housing having a slot defined therein along the length of the housing to provide a circumferential flexibility to the vent housing. An elastomeric insert is received in the slot and includes a head extending laterally from one end of the housing. The head is movable between a first position permitting air flow into the passage through the housing, and a second position which blocks the passage to prevent sprue formation.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a sole with shoe nails made of different materials is provided. The method includes pre-forming shoe nails, putting the shoe nails in an injection molding mold, applying a surface treatment agent and an adhesive glue, injecting the heated molten sole material into a mold, binding the sole material and the shoe nails with the adhesive glue, and performing a cooling process to cause the sole material to solidify and turn into a sole and cause the adhesive glue to solidify and couple the sole and shoe nails together. The method enables a sole with shoe nails to be quickly manufactured so easily that it increases production efficiency and economic benefits.
