Transgenic plants, plant material, plant cells, and genetic constructs for synthesis of biopolymers, for example polyhydroxyalkanoates (“PHA”) are provided. In one embodiment, the transgenic plants synthesize polyhydroxybutyrate (“PHB”). In one embodiment the transgenic plant encodes siRNA for one or more of the genes encoding enzymes for producing PHA. In a more preferred embodiment, the siRNA expression is under the control of an inducible regulatory element. In another embodiment, the transgenic plant contains transgenes that encode expression enzymes that will degrade the polymer. In a preferred embodiment, the expression of these enzymes is under the control of a germination specific, inducible, or minimal promoter. In another embodiment, the transgenic plant contains transgenes encoding enzymes that increase carbon flow for polymer synthesis. In a preferred embodiment, these transgenes encode enzymes that increase carbon flow in the Calvin Cycle.

A catalytic conversion process which comprises catalytic cracking reaction of a hydrocarbon feedstock contacting with a medium pore size zeolite enriched catalyst in a reactor, characterized in that reaction temperature, weight hourly space velocity and catalyst/feedstock ratio by weight are sufficient to achieve a yield of fluid catalytic cracking gas oil between 12% and 60% by weight of said feedstock, wherein said weight hourly space velocity is between 25 h−1 and 100 h−1, said reaction temperature is between 450° C. and 600° C., and said catalyst/feedstock ratio by weight is between 1 and 30. This invention relates to a catalytic conversion process, especially for heavy feedstock oil to produce higher octane gasoline and an enhanced yield of propylene. More particularly, the invention relates to a process to utilize petroleum oil resources efficiently for decreasing the yield of dry gas and coke significantly.

This discloses a process for catalytically cracking hydrocarbon stocks in a riser or fluidized bed reactor simultaneously to increase yields of diesel and liquefied gas. The process includes the steps of: first, charging a gasoline stock and a catalytic cracking catalyst into a lower zone of the reactor to permit contact between the catalyst and the gasoline stock and to produce a liquefied gas-rich oil-gas mixture containing reacted catalyst. The resulting liquefied gas-rich oil-gas mixture (still containing reacted catalyst) is then introduced into a reaction zone above the lower zone of the reactor. Simultaneously, at least one conventional catalytic cracking hydrocarbon feed is also fed independently into at least two sites is situated at a different height above the lower zone of the reactor. The resulting mixture is then separated in a conventional fashion.

A cloud-based network receives a public key of a public/private key pair and a credential for accessing secrets associated with a user network. The cloud-based network receives, from a user interface configured to facilitate remote control of the user network, a command to be executed at the user network. The cloud-based network encrypts, using the public key, the credential and the command. The cloud-based network forwards, to one or more client devices, the encrypted credential and command. The client devices are configured to decrypt the encrypted credential and command using a private key of the public/private key pair and execute the command on the user network.

It is provided a method for triggering an action on a second device. It comprises the steps of obtaining audio of a multimedia content presented on a first device; comparing the obtained audio with reference audio data in a database; if finding the obtained audio exists in the database containing reference audio, determining an action corresponding to the matched reference audio; and triggering the action in the second device.

A method for preparing monolithic catalyst washcoat is disclosed and includes the following steps: preparing a coating slurry; pretreating a monolithic carrier; applying the coating slurry onto the monolithic carrier by vacuum spraying; removing the excess coating slurry by vacuum extraction; and obtaining the monolithic carrier applied with the washcoat after drying and calcination. The washcoat of 5-20 wt % can be obtained on the monolithic carrier of the present invention by one-off applying. The method can be used to prepare the washcoat on monolithic cordierite ceramic carrier, monolithic metal carrier, monolithic active carbon carrier or monolithic molecular sieve carrier. The obtained washcoat is uniform, and has good adhesion with the carrier and excellent repeatability.

A system for program information discovery is described. A method and a device for generating and inserting a watermark for such program information discovery into a program signal to be rendered are disclosed, along with the corresponding method and device for watermark detection and decoding from the rendered program signals. Watermark, which carries channel/program information, is encoded and embedded at the set top box where the program streams are received and decoded for rendering. Second screen devices are employed for watermark detection and decoding by capturing the render program signals which has the watermark embedded. The extracted watermark information may be sent to information servers for more detailed channel/program information.
