摘要： An improved ignition interlock system being of the type including a plurality of ignition interlock devices. A vehicle is provided in which each device is installed. The plurality of service centers are provided with each service center having an associated computer adapted to extract data. A wireless transceiver is associated with each device. A wireless transceiver is associated with each service center. Computing functionality is associated with the service centers and with the devices and adapted such that when any of the vehicles attends any of the service centers, the computer associated with that service center can extract the data from the device disposed within that vehicle.

摘要： The apparatus, which is used with a vehicle, comprises a breath alcohol sensor and a computing device. The computing device is operatively coupled in use to the sensor and the vehicle and configured to record data: which provides information indicative of the likelihood that the vehicle has been operated in circumstances wherein a breath sample has not been delivered to the sensor within a predetermined period preceding the commencement of said operation; and associated with the delivery of breath samples to the sensor that contain alcohol in excess of a predetermined threshold.

摘要： A portable breath analyzing device to measure the rate of partial gas that is exhaled in the breath fluid. The device includes a rechargeable power supply unit, a device to emit pulsated infrared radiation, an infrared receiver, and a measuring vessel. The emission device includes a heating element; the measuring vessel includes a metallic tube whose interior surface is polished and coated with a deposit that reflects at least the infrared radiation of wavelengths that are between (9 μm, 10 μm) and at each end of the tube, a nozzle comprising a cone-shaped section meant to be placed in the tube axis. The infrared emission device is placed on the longitudinal axis of the tube, at the level of one of the nozzles, and the receiver is placed on the longitudinal axis, at the level of the other nozzle.

In the method, images of an area are captured over a period of time. In respect of each image: a matching calculation is carried out, based upon a comparison of the image captured with the images in the dictionary to result in a measure of confidence that the subject is in the area; and an inference determination is made to replace one of the target collection images with a further image that is known with the defined level of certainty, the determination being a function of the measure of confidence resultant from the captured image, the measure resultant from one or more previously captured images and the associated capture times.

摘要： The system is of the type for use by a person and including a handpiece and an imaging device, the handpiece containing a breath alcohol tester and the imaging device being adapted to capture an image including the handpiece when a breath sample is delivered to the handpiece. The improvement includes a sensor arrangement and a computing functionality. The sensor arrangement is adapted to provide information from which an orientation and position of the handpiece can be calculated. The computing functionality is adapted to: generate a calculated orientation and position of the handpiece; and if a face appears in the image, precisely locate the features thereof. The features of the face are located using the calculated orientation and position of the handpiece.
