    摘要: A pump assembly is presented including a motor housing holding an electric motor and a wet-end housing. The pump assembly also includes a heat transfer interface positioned between a front end of the motor housing and the wet-end housing. The heat transfer interface establishes a thermal conduction path between the motor housing and the wet-end housing so that, in use, a portion of heat generated by the motor is absorbed by the heat transfer interface and is dissipated in water circulating through the wet-end housing. In addition, or alternatively, another thermal conduction path may be established between the heat transfer interface and an electronic controller of the pump assembly so that heat generated by the controller is absorbed by the heat transfer interface and dissipated in water circulating through the wet-end housing. Mounting brackets may be provided at different radial locations about an outside casing of the pump assembly to allow mounting the assembly to a supporting structure in different orientations.

The topside control panel comprises a housing having a generally circular housing portion including a display screen and a manually operable actuator positioned about a periphery of the housing portion. A circuit board assembly is positioned in the housing and includes one or more processors programmed for rendering a multi-layer menu driven interface on the display for controlling at least some water features of the bathing unit system, wherein at least one specific menu layer of the multi-layer menu driven interface presents options for controlling the one or more pumps. Navigation through the multi-layer menu driven interface is permitted by using signals triggered at least in part by a combination of displacements of the manually operable actuator to select specific user-selectable options to arrive at the specific menu layer presenting options for controlling the one or more pumps.

    摘要: An intelligent light bulb is provided as well as a method, devices and computer program product of configuring such an intelligent light bulb. The intelligent light bulb comprises an LED lighting element and a programmable controller. The programmable controller comprises a memory module having stored therein firmware including instructions for controlling operations of the LED lighting element, where the memory module including a passive memory on which at least a portion of the firmware is stored. The passive memory component of the memory module is responsive to a signal carrying firmware update information received over a wireless communication link from a device external to the intelligent light bulb for causing a firmware update process to be performed to modify the instructions of the firmware based on the update information carried by the signal. The programmable controller also includes a processing unit in communication with the memory module for operating the LED lighting element at least in part in accordance with the instructions of the firmware. Advantageously, the proposed intelligent light bulb can be configured using the signal carrying the firmware update information. In some embodiments, this may allow modifications of certain operating characteristic of the intelligent light bulb to be performed after manufacturing, including modifications pertaining to light color emitted and/or manner of operating the light bulb.

    摘要: A programmable controller for operating a system is provided as well as a method and devices of configuring such controller. The controller includes firmware storing instructions for controlling operations of the system, the firmware including a passive memory component and a processing unit programmed for operating the system at least in part based on the instructions of the firmware. The firmware is responsive to a signal carrying firmware update information received from an external device for drawing energy from the signal to activate the passive memory component and causing a firmware update process to be performed. Advantageously, the proposed controller can be configured in the absence of electrical power being supplied by an external source and in, some embodiments, using the signal carrying the firmware update information as the sole source of electrical energy in order to perform at least part of the firmware update process.

    摘要: A sanitizing system is provided for use in a bathing unit system including a receptacle for holding water in which a halide salt has been dissolved and a circulating system for removing and returning water from and to the receptacle. The sanitizing system includes a sanitizing device having a housing configured to be positioned in fluid communication with the circulation system and an electrolytic cell positioned within the housing so that when power is applied to the electrolytic cell, the halide salt dissolved in water flowing through the housing is converted to an amount of free halogen. A controller controls an amount of power supplied to the electrolytic cell so as to control the amount of free halogen being generated. The amount of power supplied may be adjusted, for example, based on an amount of usage of the bathing unit system, a usage of a circulation pump and/or based on a water temperature. A user control interface for the sanitizing device is also provided.
