摘要: A gate turn-off thyristor comprising, a first emitter layer of one conductivity type, a main base layer of another conductivity type connected to said first emitter layer and a control base layer of the first conductivity type connected to the main base layer. A second emitter of the other conductivity type is connected to the control base layer at a junction which surrounds a portion of the second emitter layer. An emitter contact is connected to the second emitter layer and a control base contact is connected to the control base layer. The gate turn-off thyristor is turned off by a short circuiting of the control base contact with the emitter contact. The surface resistance of the control base layer between the second emitter layer and the control base contact is selected so that, with a control base turn-off current applied which is sufficient for turning off the thyristor, a potential appears on a lateral resistance in the control base layer which is less than a potential appearing at the junction. This difference in potential is used as an additional driving potential for the hole or electron current flowing over the lateral resistance and the control base layer.

摘要: An apparatus and method for transferring a fluid, such as oil, between a fluid conveying line and a ship. The apparatus includes a transfer unit anchored at the bottom of the sea and attached to the fluid conveying line, and a coupling device which is brought into the ship together with the transfer unit so that connections can be made to the coupling device at a weather resistant location within the ship. Fluid is transferred between the fluid conveying line and the ship via the transfer unit and coupling device.

摘要: In a method and apparatus for transmitting digital signals by means of signal generators by initially converting a double current pulse train, under control of bit clock pulses and before transmission, into a first unipolar pulse train composed of pulses corresponding to all positive transmission pulses and into a second unipolar pulse train composed of pulses corresponding to all negative transmission pulses, the pulse trains are code converted independently of the duration of the bit clock pulses for producing a converted signal having a first transmitting amplitude in correspondence with each pulse of the first pulse train and a second transmitting amplitude in correspondence with each pulse of the second pulse train, the second amplitude differing from the first, and the converted signal is applied to a signal generator for producing an output signal corresponding to the converted signal and in which the transmitting amplitudes corresponding to both unipolar pulse trains vary the output signal in the same polarity direction.

摘要: A four-port network for separating signals comprised of two doubly polarized frequency bands for an antenna feeder system in directional or satellite radio operation, wherein a first polarization converter for converting linear polarization to circular polarization, and vice versa, is designed for the lowest inherent ellipticity in the lower frequency band and is connected ahead of a symmetric polarization filter for the lower frequency band, and a second polarization converter which compensates the remaining ellipticity in the upper frequency band is connected between the symmetrical polarization filter and a further polarization filter for the upper frequency band. The second polarization converter for compensating the remaining ellipticity in the upper frequency band includes two different types of wavecoupling means with the first wavecoupling means reducing the frequency dependence of the remaining ellipticity but simultaneously increasing the amount of the remaining ellipticity and the other wavecoupling means having the resulting effect that the amount of the remaining ellipticity and additionally its frequency dependence are reduced to a minimum.
