    摘要: A process of high-speed spinning of a set of thermoplastic monofilaments having a linear density from 1 to 30 dtex, includes spinning to obtain melt-spun thermoplastic monofilaments and airblast cooling of the melt-spun monofilaments. To produce a particularly fine monofilament at high winding speeds, the process also includes guiding the thermoplastic monofilaments directly over a fork-like friction element having axially parallel, spaced apart upper and lower contacting friction surfaces during the airblast cooling, and then spin finishing and winding up the thermoplastic monofilaments. An apparatus for melt-spinning including the friction element is described. The product monofilament produced by the process can have an elongation of 20 to 45%, a strength of 36 to 60 cN/tex; a boil shrinkage of 2 to 15%; an Uster % less than 1 and a uniformly round cross section.

The method of making this friction texturized polyester filament yarn comprises texturizing a flat yarn with a titer of 400 to 600 dtex at a rate of at least 350 m/min and a yarn tension ratio, F2/F1, less than one via a squeezing twister. A set yarn can be made from the friction texturized polyester yarn with the titer of 400 to 600 dtex by heating.

    摘要: The dimension-stable impregnated polyester tire cord is at least 95% by weight polyethylene terephthalate and has an intrinsic viscosity of 0.70 dl/g to 0.89 dl/g for undrawn cord, a fineness of at least 1100 x 2 dtex, a dimension stability coefficient of at least 30'000 cN.sup.2 /tex.sup.2, a thermal shrinkage of about 0.8 percent measured at a temperature of 160.degree. C. with 0.1 cN/tex pre-stress and a permanent lengthening of less than 1.5 percent at a tire pressure of 2 bar and a temperature of 100.degree. C., so as to reduce shrinkage during vulcanization and in tires heated in operation and so as to provide a quieter running tire. The fatigue resistance of this polyester tire cord suffers a drop in tensile strength of less than 20 percent measured at 10.8 MC with 6 percent strain and 6 percent compression so that tires made from the polyester cord have a greater durability and increased life.

    摘要: The apparatus for draining dyed yarn on yarn bobbins includes a vacuum pump; a hollow dye carrier insert for carrying a plurality of yarn bobbins having yarn to be drained thereon, an interior volume of this dye carrier insert being connectable to the vacuum pump and structured so that, when at least a partial vacuum is produced in the interior volume by the vacuum pump, air is drawn through the yarn on the bobbins into the interior volume; a vacuum tank connected to the vacuum pump for producing a vacuum as ballast and having a capacity not less than the interior volume of the dye carrier insert; a coupling device for receiving the dye carrier insert on which the yarn bobbins are mounted; a bell releasably mountable on the coupling device to enclose the dye carrier insert carrying the yarn bobbins in a vacuum-tight manner and a connecting pipe with a valve connecting the coupling device to the vacuum tank and operable so as to be able to form the partial vacuum in the dye carrier insert for draining the yarn carried on the yarn bobbins. No centrifuge for the yarn spools and no rotation devices for the dye carrier insert and the yarn bobbins are necessary to remove water from and drain the yarn resulting in a more economically operated apparatus.

    摘要: The dirt-repellent monofilament with a toughness of at least 36 cN/tex and an extension of under 44% has a soiling index A1>2 after five soiling and cleaning cycles. To manufacture the dirt-repellent monofilaments, a copolymer with a melting point of 255.degree. to 275.degree. C. and consisting of alkenes and perfluoroalkenes is added to a polymer melt of polythylene terephthalate before extrusion. The dirt-repellent monofilament is advantageously used in the manufacture of cleaning filters for the dry section of a paper machine, i.e. paper machine fabric filters. It may also be used to produce fabrics for general use as technical fabrics which have to be cleaned in difficult conditions.

    摘要: The process of making the soil-repellent and abrasion-resistant monofilament includes transesterifying dimethylterephthalate with ethylene glycol; adding to the resulting reaction mixture from 0.15 to 5 percent by weight of a polydialkylsiloxane of formula I: --CO--R.sub.1 --�Si(R.sub.2).sub.2 --O!.sub.n --Si(R.sub.2).sub.2 --R.sub.1 --CO-- (I), wherein n is the number of repeated --Si(R.sub.2).sub.2 --O-- groups and R.sub.1 or R.sub.2 represent the same or different radicals with 2 to 20 carbon atoms; then polycondensing to form a linear silicone-modified polyethylene terephthalate in which the polydialkyl siloxane of formula I is inserted into a polyethylene terephthalate polymer chain thereof; and extruding the linear silicone-modified polyethylene terephthalate to form a monofilament consisting of the silicone-modified polyethylene terephthalate having a silicon content of 0.05 to 2.0% by weight. The monofilament product has a cross-section with a diameter of from 0.1 to 1.0 mm, a homogeneous composition over the entire cross-section, a tenacity of at least 36 cN/tex, an elongation of less than 44% based on an unstretched portion and a soiling index of less than 10 after five soiling cycles.
