The process is especially characterized in that the nanoparticles are pure, especially free from organic carbon compounds, preferably carbon-free, and are obtained continuously. The nanoparticles which are obtainable by the process of the invention are characterized in that they are present without an organic ligand in suspension and are especially preferred stable as a suspension against agglomeration, wherein the medium having the particles suspended therein is free from organic carbon compounds, especially carbon-free.

An arc reactor and a process for the production of nanoparticles are disclosed. The reactor has a crucible in a gas-tight housing having a carrier gas inlet and a spaced-apart carrier gas outlet. The carrier gas inlet is directed to the side of the crucible opposite the crucible opening. The inlet can be disposed below the crucible and directed to the side of the crucible opposite the crucible opening. The carrier gas outlet is disposed above the crucible and exits the housing above the crucible. The carrier gas outlet is formed by a hood disposed at a distance above the crucible, which is separated from the crucible and formed by an exhaust pipe that connects the hood to the carrier gas outlet of the housing. The reactor housing has at least one inlet for cooling gas. This can be directed at an interstice formed between the crucible and the hood.

The present invention relates to novel tumor-associated antigens, which elicit independently from a presentation via MHC a CD8-positive T-cell response. GM-CSF-Receptor alpha chain (CSF2RA) and Tyrosinase-related protein 2 (TRP-2) were found to be targets of CD8-positive T-cell clones which could detect the proteins on the surface of HLA I negative melanoma cells. Thus, the invention provides proteins, protein fragments and polypeptides of the novel antigens for use in medicine, for example for the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of a tumor disease. Furthermore provided are nucleic acids expressing the antigens of the invention, binding agents specific for the antigens of the invention, such as T-cell receptor chains and isolated T cells which are reactive against the antigens of the invention or which express the T-cell receptors of the invention. The invention further pertains to pharmaceutical compositions, especially vaccine compositions, comprising the antigens, nucleic acids, binding agents or T cells in accordance with the invention, and methods for the generation of T cells, which are specifically reactive to the antigens of the invention in an MHC-independent manner.
