摘要： A pump is provided for immersion in a fluid reservoir, such as a pit or lagoon containing liquid manure, from a position at an edge of the reservoir. The pump may be adapted for connection to a farm vehicle, such as a tractor, positioned at the edge of the reservoir. The pump comprises an extensible body, fluid conduit and drive means in order that a length of the pump may be varied in order to accommodate a variety of reservoir fluid heights. In addition, the pump may be pivotable relative to at least a portion of a frame in order that the entrance angle may be adjusted. The pump may comprise a housing with an inlet and an outlet, the outlet in fluid communication with the fluid conduit. An impeller within the housing may direct fluid from the inlet to the outlet in the housing.

摘要： Applicator embodiments are provided for applying liquid livestock waste in the form of a slurry beneath the soil surface. Some embodiments include a leading swivel-mounted, spring-cushioned, conical-shaped wavy coulter blade angularly offset from the direction of travel which displaces the soil laterally in forming a furrow adapted to receive slurry. The coulter may be trailed by a single or a pair of optionally spring-cushioned rotary closing blade(s) that are to close the furrow containing the deposited liquid. One or more rotary closing blade(s) is optionally spring loaded to follow the soil contour. Some alternative embodiments utilize a rotary covering blade pivot assembly that is positioned lower and more forward, a larger spring for more blade depth, and/or a single or a pair of rotary covering blades for a scooping movement of the soil and results in more soil to cover the deposited liquid. In various embodiments, a number of injector units are mounted in a side-by-side relation in a spaced manner and springs maintain individual assembly alignment when blades are not engaged in the soil.

摘要： A compost spreader has a hopper mounted on a turntable so that the hopper may be rotated lengthwise to go through gates but crosswise when spreading the compost. The frame of the spreader telescopes so as to accommodate the length of the hopper when the hopper is turned lengthwise. After the spreader has gone through the gate and the hopper turned crosswise, then the frame is shortened or collapsed. The compost is distributed from the hopper by an endless belt at the bottom of the hopper.

摘要： A manure spreader including a rotary distributor at the rear end and an endless apron having a span movable along the bottom of the body is powered from a p.t.o. or the like from a tractor to drive the distributor at a predetermined rate while the speed of the apron may be varied between slow, fast and very fast by variable drive mechanism adjacent the rear end of the body and includes a jaw clutch associated with the distributor, a slidable clutch member movable selectively between driven sprocket gears respectively for relatively slow and fast drive of the apron, together with a direct drive connection between a main drive shaft and a secondary drive shaft connected to the apron to provide a very fast speed for the apron while the distributor is idle to effect a fast cleanout of the body at the end of distributing a load of manure. The direct drive referred to is supplemented by an overriding clutch.

摘要： Two spreading mechanisms disposed substantially completely across a rear outlet of a container-hopper having a movable deck, the spreader comprising a pair of two-part distribution members which rotate about vertical shafts which are disposed close to the edge of the deck. The upper part has four sets of resilient tines extending from angle irons spaced outwardly from the rotary shaft, the tines being bent at their ends and connected to the angle irons via coils whereby they are resiliently forced backward in their rotation through the fertilizer, usually manure, and when released resiliently spring forward whereby material engaged by the tines if flung outwardly. On the same shaft the lower part is a disc type ejector extending in substantial part under the moving deck to receive fertilizer which the tines miss. A freely rotatable guide member surrounds the shaft between the ejector and the tined portion to preclude material from winding around the shaft. A plate closure for the hopper outlet is raised vertically by two pairs of arms, one pair pivotally connected on each side of the hopper whereby the closure is lifted first vertically and then pivoted at its upper part somewhat forwardly whereby its lower edge which penetrates the fertilizer moves in a substantially vertical motion just ahead of the distribution members. The spreaders and the underlying deck are powered by a tractor power take-off. The closure is frictionally connected to piston and cylinder assembly on each side of the hopper and can be adjusted to various open or closed positions.

摘要： A novel drive system for a manure spreader is disclosed wherein an infinitely adjustable variable speed drive mechanism transfers power from the power input shaft to the apron assembly and a constant speed drive mechanism transfers power from the same power input shaft to the beater assembly. A bypass mechanism allows for an extension of the hydraulic cylinder controlling a cam device, used for varying the speed of the apron drive mechanism, without activation of the cam device when the power input shaft is not engaged for rotation of the drive system. A tensioning idler connected to the cam device through a lost motion linkage provides for disengagement of the beater drive system during the cleanout of the manure spreader by the apron assembly. A drive shaft to the beater assembly is included inside of a tubular drive shaft to the apron assembly, whereby a concentric drive line assembly transfers power rearwardly to the driven assemblies.

摘要： A spreader attachment for distributing muck material uniformly over the ground, has a hopper in which the bottom and at least one ejector shaft are inclined between the horizontal and vertical. The back side of the hopper is open near the top thereof so that rotation of the ejector shaft with ejectors continuously causes some of the muck material to be thrown to the rear of the hopper. The ejector can be flexible chains of various lengths that are secured along the length of the shaft.
