摘要: A process for making and using a tissue preservation gel. The gel is comprised of water, reticulated acrylic acid, water soluble short-chain paraben, isopropyl alcohol and either triethanolamine or propylene glycol. To use the gel, a tissue to be preserved is first bathed in hypertonic sodium chloride, then soaked in a wash in multiple increasing concentrations of isopropyl alcohol and then preserved indefinitely in the tissue preservation gel.

A tool box, a refrigeration box and a freezing box are arranged in the collection case. A liner plate is arranged in the tool box and provided with an accommodating trough, at least three storage troughs and several test tube troughs. An umbilical cord collection box, a placenta collection box and a blood collection bag are respectively arranged in the three storage troughs. A reagent bottle for containing a cell protection solution is arranged in the refrigeration box. Several ice bags are arranged in the freezing box.

摘要: A hand-held device and method of processing a biological threat agent sample such that any infectious organism is rendered harmless while preserving it for subsequent testing, the method comprising placing a sample comprising a biological threat agent in a reservoir; adding a first reagent comprising peracetic acid in sufficient concentration to reach a predetermined minimal concentration after mixing with the sample in the reservoir; inactivating the sample upon interaction of the sample with the first reagent for a predetermined period of time at a predetermined temperature; removing the inactivated sample from the reservoir; and providing the inactivated sample for subsequent diagnostic testing, wherein the subsequent diagnostic testing is unaffected by inactivation of the sample. In another embodiment, the first reagent comprises a cupric salt, which is mixed with ascorbic acid and hydrogen peroxide to generate cupric ascorbate.

摘要: In a process for preparing disinfected preparations from mammalian tissues, mammalian tissue is perfused at one step with an enzyme-free liquid antibiotic composition that includes at least one antibiotic and is contained in at least one perfusion buffer. In a step occurring after such one step, enzymatic antibiotic-free treatment of the tissue is carried out to obtain a single-cell suspension. In another step disinfected preparations are obtained.

摘要: Provided herein is a placental membrane product comprising an immunocompatible amniotic membrane. Such placental membrane products can be cryopreserved and contain therapeutic factors and viable cells after thawing. The placental membrane products are useful in wound healing and tissue repair/regeneration as they are capable of promoting angiogenesis, reducing inflammation, inhibiting proteases and free radical oxidation, reducing scar formation, and other methods that promote healing. The present technology relates to products to protect injured or damaged tissue, or as a covering to prevent adhesions, to exclude bacteria, to inhibit bacterial activity, and/or to promote healing or growth of tissue. The field also relates to methods of manufacturing and methods of use of such membrane-derived products.

摘要: A disinfectant system for intracavity ultrasound probes in disclosed generally including a housing, a disinfectant chamber positioned in the housing and receiving at least one ultrasound probe, a container for containing a disinfectant solution fluidly coupled to the disinfectant chamber, at least one pump for supplying the disinfection solution from the container to the disinfection chamber and from the disinfection chamber to the container, and a controller for automated operation of the disinfectant system, wherein the disinfectant solution is a multi-use disinfectant solution. A method for disinfecting intracavity ultrasound probes is also disclosed generally including placing at least one ultrasound probe into a disinfectant chamber, supplying a disinfectant solution from a container to the disinfectant chamber via a pump, and returning the solution to the container via the pump, wherein the steps of supplying and returning the disinfectant solution are controlled by a controller.
