摘要: A method for rescue support involves distributing transponder devices to individuals in a geographic region and causing the transponder devices to be activated. If a large-scale emergency situation occurs, a fleet of unmanned aerial vehicles are operated within the geographic region to receive distress signals transmitted by the activated transponder devices. A computer system processes the distress signals to obtain detection data for the individuals, the detection data comprising a location of the respective transponder device and a health status of the respective individual. The computer system generates, based on the location and health status of the respective individual, a prioritization chart for the geographic region, the prioritization chart being indicative of one or more sub-regions to be prioritized for a rescue operation.

摘要: A fall detection and alert system and associated methods are described. The system includes a right footwear item and a left footwear item, each of which includes foot pressure sensors, communications circuitry configured to transmit foot pressure signals from the pressure sensors to a mobile device, such as a smartphone, and a power source. The system also includes an application for the mobile device that causes the mobile device to receive transmitted foot pressure signals from the communications circuitry of the footwear, analyze the foot pressure signals to determine whether a wearer of the footwear items has fallen, display a warning if it is determined that the wearer of the footwear items has fallen, along with an option to cancel the warning, and send a signal to a caregiver if the warning has not been canceled within a predetermined period of time.

摘要: A system and method for optimizing a rescue operation of an individual. The method comprises maintaining, by an individual engaged in an activity, an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) associated with and in proximity to the individual. For storage at the UAV, the individual records at a recording device a message. A sensor device is configured to detect a situation requiring a need to rescue the individual at a current location, and generates a trigger signal in response to a detection. In response to the receipt of the trigger signal, a current GPS location of the individual is recorded and a launching of the UAV to traverse a flight-path to a destination location. At or before arriving at the destination location, the UAV contemporaneously provides the stored recorded message and current GPS location of the individual to an emergency response authority to inform of the individual's situation and location.

摘要: A snow burial survival mask has an exhaust tube connected to a headgear. An intake port of the exhaust tube is positioned adjacent to a breathing portion of the headgear in order to intake exhaled carbon dioxide (CO2)-rich air. An air pump connected to the exhaust tube pump the exhaled air from the intake port to an exhaust port away from the user's face, extending survival time in a snow burial situation. At least one burial detection sensor such as a motion sensor, light sensor and/or CO2 sensor is configured to activate the air pump based on detection of a burial event.

摘要: A backpack including a body including a first enclosure defining a first compartment and an opening, an inflatable balloon positioned within the compartment, a zipper, a balloon inflation system, and an actuator. The first enclosure includes at least a first restricting element. The zipper includes first and second fastener tapes attached to the enclosure at the opening. The zipper includes at least a first targeted zipper separation location aligned with the first restricting element. The balloon inflation system is coupled to the body and the inflatable balloon. The actuator is operably coupled to the balloon inflation system, such that upon actuation of the inflation system with the zipper in a closed position, the first restricting element concentrates a zipper separation force in a direction generally perpendicular to an engagement line of the zipper to separate the first and second fastener tapes of the zipper at the first targeted zipper location.

摘要: The invention is directed to an airbag system and, more particularly, to such a system employed as a rescue or life-saving system to enable a person to survive an avalanche, for example. In a particular embodiment, the invention relates to an airbag system utilized with a backpack to be worn by a skier, snowboarder, hiker, or snowmobiler, for example. Instead of relying upon compressed gas cartridges or cylinders to inflate the airbag(s), the invention inflates the airbag(s) with ambient air only. In a particular embodiment, air is supplied to the airbag by means of a battery-powered electrical motor.

摘要: A portable device for rapidly inflating an inflatable bag is disclosed, which comprises at least one inlet intended to be connected to a source of compressed gas, in order to allow this gas to expand into an air intake chamber, the inlet being associated with a mechanism that triggers the release of the compressed gas to the air intake chamber, the latter having an opening allowing atmospheric air to be admitted and an outlet intended to be connected to the bag that is to be inflated. The device further comprises an intermediate distribution chamber for the compressed gas, which chamber is arranged between the inlet and the air intake chamber in order to connect the one to the other, and ejection holes arranged so as to open into a lateral wall of the air intake chamber in order to connect the latter to the intermediate distribution chamber.
