Also described is a method of producing a coil spring made of non-compressed wood, which includes winding a slat on reel, steaming and drying to produce the wooden coil spring. Such a coil spring may have a cylindrical shape, a cone shape or a truncated cone shape, and may have a substantially perpendicular end turn with respect to the longitudinal axis of the coil spring.

    摘要: The invention allows the realization of parts, longitudinally or transversely curved, of large dimensions, by assembling boards of solid wood side by side, with glue, and to afterward arch the resulting part. The loss of solid wood is then decreased a lot since it is thus possible to assemble several wood boards of various widths together. It allows the realization of final curved parts of almost unlimited dimension, dimension whereas dimensions are usually limited by the width of the sawing, or, in other words, by the thickness of the trees. Here, the limit is situated at the level of the capacity of equipments used to bend solid wood.

    摘要: A wooden member fabrication method which, by a simple process, can enable greater stability of shape subsequent to processing and uniformity of color tone. A wooden original piece with a long form has a hole thereinside which extends in the length direction. Corner portions are chamfered and radial direction thicknesses are substantially constrained to a certain range. An outer periphery of this wooden original piece is compression-deformed in directions toward an axial central portion and the outer periphery is thus made an arc surface. Because of the chamfering, radial direction thicknesses of the wooden original piece are constrained, and differences by location between compression ratios can be suppressed.

Such profiles can be produced essentially from all types of wood of coniferous trees and wood of deciduous trees, including low-grade wood of coniferous trees (secondary products, weak round timber), which can be obtained in large quantities in forestry. The inventive profile has a considerably larger load capacity compared to cross-sections of solid wood, for the same volume of wood. The wood as raw material is used to the maximum.
