摘要: A ski, snowboard, or other gliding board for snow sports includes a horizontally-laminated core of at least first and second wooden layers overlying a low-friction base, and a layer of high-modulus non-wooden material, such as carbon fiber composite, overlying the core. The second wooden layer overlies at least a portion of the first wooden layer and preferably has a flexural modulus that is greater than a flexural modulus of the first layer. The wooden materials and dimensions of the first and second layers are selected to provide improved vibration damping. Manufacturing methods resulting in reduced waste and improved vibration damping performance are also disclosed.

摘要: A method for producing a composite panel, in particular intended for aircraft or nautical furniture. The composite panel comprising including a central core formed from a core of the low-density structured material type covered on its two faces with at least one layer of material preimpregnated with resin, with at least one of the faces of the panel being covered with a cladding. The method including the following two manufacturing steps: baking of the cladding with an adhesive film, the adhesive film being glued onto one of the faces of the cladding; and baking of the cladding and of the adhesive film on the at least one layer of material preimpregnated with resin. A composite panel obtained by the method is also provided.

摘要: Vented weather resistant barrier panels are disclosed that facilitate the removal of volatile organic compounds or other gases. The vented weather resistant barrier panels have a panel with a first side formed with a plurality of channels and covered with a non-perforated barrier to form a flow path. In some embodiments, the barrier is formed from a foil layer and a carrier layer. When installed on a structure, the vented weather resistant barrier panels form a flow path from inside the wall of the structure, through the channels, and through a first or second end of each channel to allow for ventilation of the structure. Methods of ventilating a structure using vented weather resistant barrier panels and of manufacturing vented weather resistant barrier panels are also disclosed.

摘要: Disclosed is a cover for a utility vault and a method for making such covers. The cover is formed from fiberglass reinforcement layers, a low-density core, and a polymer mix matrix. The reinforcement layers include a bottom reinforcement layer, one or more edge reinforcement layers, and a top reinforcement layer. A first portion of the edge reinforcement layer overlaps a portion of the bottom reinforcement layer and a second portion of the edge reinforcement layer overlaps a portion of the top reinforcement layer. The core is positioned between the top and bottom reinforcement layers. The reinforcement layers are formed from fiberglass fabric and may include fiberglass layers whose fibers are oriented quadraxially. The polymer mix impregnates the fabric layers, encases the core, and binds the components together. The polymer matrix includes a thermoset polymer resin.
