    摘要: A system and method is provided for quickly and accurately creating custom-fit artificial nails by introducing a secondary shaping process to pre-made nail blanks by using thermoforming method with appropriate nail tooling. The method includes measuring a natural nail and using this information to select a matching, or, close to matching, nail blank and a mold where the nail blank is thermoformed in the mold to match substantially the size and shape of the natural nail. The options available in combining pre-made nail blanks with further thermoforming allows for accommodating a wide variety of shapes and sizes of natural nails. The system and method offers the advantage of safely producing custom-fit artificial nails, which fit properly on user's natural nails within a short period of time. The system is advantageously small and suitable for use inside a nail salon.

    摘要: A roller frame including at least two rollers mounted in a housing between which a nip can be formed. The ends of the rollers are supported in rotary fashion in bearings and at least one of the rollers is embodied as an advancing roller and has an adjusting system by which it is possible to move die bearings of the advancing roller, thus changing the nip. The adjusting system has a rack and a pinion whose teeth engage with those of the rack and can be driven to rotate by a motor. It is possible to change the distance between the pinion and the rack by changing the tooth engagement depth between them.

    摘要: An apparatus for continuously forming an extruded sheet product having an extruder assembly with a sheet die for delivering flowable material. A roll stand assembly has a main frame with first and second rolls. A vertical height positioning mechanism is operated to vary the relationship between the sheet die and nip location between rolls and has first and second lift components that cooperate with the main frame at first and second laterally spaced locations. The first and second lift components are each movable in first and second opposite paths to selectively elevate and lower the nip location relative to the sheet die. The vertical height positioning mechanism further has an actuating system to selectively and simultaneously cause the first and second lift components to move.

    摘要: A system for nano-imprint with mold deformation detector is disclosed for real-time monitoring of the deformation of the mold. An electrostatic plate capacitor is embedded in the mold, serving as the deformation detector. The capacitor includes two opposite metal film electrodes formed by silicon micromachining technique on opposite surfaces of the mold and connected by a metal lead. During imprinting, the mold is acted upon by an external force and deformation occurs, which induces change of distance between the metal film electrodes and thus variation of the capacitance of the capacitor. The amount of deformation of the mold can then be assessed by comparing the capacitance with a reference. Thus, real-time detection and monitoring of the deformation of the nano-imprint mold is realized. Also disclosed is a method for carrying out the real-time monitoring of the deformation of the mold.
