Abstract:
The invention relates to a method for removing a roller tire (3) shrink fitted to a roller core (2) of a roller-press roller (1) where the roller tire is expanded by heating and pulled off the roller core. This method is characterized in that the roller tire is inductively heated with an induction coil (4).
Abstract:
[Problem to be Solved]To provide a novel briquetting roll having excellent performance such as providing both abrasion resistance and spalling resistance, which can also be manufactured at low cost and in a short period of time, and a method for manufacturing the same.[Means for Solving the Problem]A briquetting roll 1 integrally has an inner layer material 4 and an outer layer material 5, which comprise mutually different materials and are in contact with each other at the respective exterior and interior thereof, and has pockets 6 formed at the outer circumference of the outer layer material 5. A chromium-molybdenum forged steel material is used for the inner layer material 4 and a high-carbon high-speed steel material is used for the outer layer material 5. The outer layer material 5 may be formed on the outside of the inner layer material 4 by a continuous pouring process.
Abstract:
The invention provides a multilayer-structure absorbent core for a disposable absorbent article, and a method for preparing the absorbent core, wherein the absorbent core is compacted and formed by each layer; its surface presents a grid-shaped groove; the depth at the intersection point of the grid-shaped groove is bigger than that at the non-intersection point thereof. The invention adopts a new synchronous split-level process; that is, a linear grid-shaped trapezoid-shaped compaction mechanism, of which the height is smaller than that of a circular-platform structure, incompletely compacts the absorbent core and separates the absorbent core into numerous small convex spaces, while a circular-platform structure carries out the dot-shaped compaction for the absorbent core. Under the conditions that the liquid-absorption functions of a deflector layer and a reservoir layer are maintained, the movement of polymer water-absorption material is completely limited while the strength of a core body is enhanced. The invention adjusts the structure of the core body and a process of preparing it, thus facilitating the improved multilayer structure to have more liquid-absorption amount, faster liquid-absorption speed and increased strength.
Abstract:
A device for processing free-flowing input material, having a machine frame formed by longitudinal and transverse walls, in which a rolling mill having at least one pair of oppositely rotating rollers is disposed axially parallel next to one another so as to maintain a radial roller gap and are rotatably mounted in the transverse walls. The input material is processed upon passage through the roller gap. The region located upstream of the roller gap is used to feed the input material, and the downstream region is used to discharge the material. In order to minimize the disruptions caused by wear and thermal load, it is provided that the upstream region for feeding comprises a feed chute having longitudinal chute walls and end chute walls, the end chute walls each disposed with axial separation between the transverse walls of the machine frame in order to form an open space.
Abstract:
The invention provides a method by which high moisture low rank coal or other carbonaceous material may be transformed into a high-energy, water resistant product. The raw feed is comminuted then mechanically compacted by a roller press with rolls of a specified profile to mobilize the inherent moisture and collapse most of the interstitial pore space. The mobilized moisture is then removed by low-temperature drying and the material is sized and shaped to form a product that is resistant to re-absorption of water or other liquids. The present invention will promote the use of low rank coal for liquefaction and gasification.
Abstract:
A process for producing solid dosage forms by a) producing a plastic mixture which comprises at least one active ingredient and at least one polymeric binder, and b) shaping the plastic mixture to the solid dosage forms in a molding calender with two counterrotating molding rolls, wherein one molding roll has at least one annular groove running along its periphery and the other molding roll has at least one ring, running along its periphery, of teeth extending radially outward and able to engage in the annular groove is described.
Abstract:
A rotary mold having a removable rotary mold segment of truncated sectorial shape having top, bottom, side, and end wall surfaces wherein the top arcuate surface is adapted for molding, and the generally planar bottom surface is connected to the top surface by two end walls in radial alignment with the axis of rotation defining the arcuate top surface wherein the bottom surface joining said end walls is in perpendicular alignment with one of said end walls.
Abstract:
An arrangement for controlling the temperature of an arbor-sleeve type roll employed in a rolling process such as in a briquetting machine by transporting temperature control medium to the extremities of the working surface of a removable sleeve by providing in the arbor a system of passageways extending radially and terminating at a point beneath the outer surface of the arbor and by providing in the sleeve a system of interconnecting axially extending passageways. Both of these systems are joined by manifold ring assemblies mounted externally of the roll and which include an expandable bellows which compensate for thermal variation of the roll during the briquetting process. Two other rings, also mounted externally, are connected to the opposite sides of the arbor and sleeve, thereby preventing relative movement between the arbor and sleeve and still permitting the quick removal and replacement of the sleeve.
Abstract:
A die segment for a briquetting roll in which the roll is a steel body which is provided with a peripheral groove having a radially outwardly facing bottom wall which is made up of planar chordal segments and having side walls at the side edges of the bottom wall with one side wall inclined inwardly in the outward direction and being in the form of an annular segment of a cone concentric with the axis of the roll and the other side wall substantially radial. The die segments are bodies of hard wear resistant material mounted in the groove, one on each chordal section of the bottom wall of the groove and each has one side inclined to fit the inclined wall of the groove with the other side spaced from and diverging from the radial side wall in the outward direction. Wedge bars between the radial side wall of the groove and the opposed sides of the die segments are utilized for clamping the segments in place in the roll.
Abstract:
A roller-type press including rollers having a roller core on which segments are secured to form a complete annulus. Each of the segments are provided at their longitudinal edges with supporting projections and recesses arranged therebetween to receive the supporting projections of adjacent segments. The segments may be fixed to the roller core by means of bolts, screws or cooled shrunk rings overlapping projections on each of the segments.
