摘要: The invention relates to a device (1) of the electrochromic type comprising successively a substrate (2), a reflection control coating (8), a laminating interlayer (10), a functional system (4) of the electrochromic type and a substrate (2). This particular arrangement of the laminating interlayer between the reflection control coating and the functional system and the choice of the refractive index and thickness of the reflection control coating are such that the saturation values of C* in the colorimetric system (L*, a*, b*) of the device in reflection are less than or equal to 10 for angles of incidence of 60° and 8° relative to the normal (N) to the outer face (6B) of the counter-substrate and that the absolute value of the difference between the value of C* at an angle of incidence of 8° and the value of C* at an angle of incidence of 60° is less than or equal to 6.

摘要: Certain example embodiments of this invention relate to heatable glass substrates that may be used in connection with lighting applications, and/or methods of making the same. In certain example embodiments, a glass substrate supports an antireflective (AR) coating on a first major surface thereof, and a conductive coating on a second, opposite major surface thereof. Bus bars connect the conductive coating to a power source in certain example embodiments. The substrate may be heat treated (e.g., heat strengthened and/or thermally tempered), with one or both coatings thereon. The heatable glass substrate thus may help provide a chemical and/or environmental barrier for the luminaire or lighting system disposed behind it. In addition, or in the alternative, the heatable glass substrate may help reduce the amount of moisture (e.g., snow, rain, ice, fog, etc.) that otherwise could accumulate on the luminaire or lighting system.

摘要: A window assembly for a vehicle includes a substrate that is substantially transparent and has a surface. A transparent layer is disposed on the surface and comprises a metal compound such that the transparent layer is electrically conductive. The transparent layer defines a first region and a second region that are spaced from one another by a section cut that is devoid of the transparent layer. The first and second regions are non-congruent to one another. A feeding arrangement is coupled to the first and second regions to energize the first and second regions such that the first and second regions operate as antenna elements. The first and second regions each define at least one performance enhancing slit that is devoid of the transparent layer. The slits are configured to operate as at least one of an impedance matching element and a radiation pattern altering element.

摘要: An automotive vehicle having an aperture in the vehicle body in which a glazing, comprising a switchable film laminated between at least two plies of an interlayer material is fitted is disclosed. The plies of interlayer material are laminated between a first ply of glazing material, preferably glass, facing out of the vehicle and a second ply of glazing material, preferably glass, facing into the vehicle. The switchable film comprises first and second electrodes, both in electrical connection with a power supply. The first electrode is capacitively connected to electrical ground on the vehicle body.
