    摘要： An automatic power transmission control system for a vehicle driven by an engine having a carburetor throttle valve which control system comprises a shift control unit to cause shifting of different gear reduction ratios in accordance with a signal representative of an effective opening area of the throttle valve and a signal representative of a vehicle speed, and a shift pattern generator circuit associated with the shift control unit and responsive to a signal representing a closed condition of the throttle valve for modifying the shift pattern whereby a downshift is effected from a lower gear reduction ratio to a higher gear reduction ratio regardless of the vehicle speed to provide sufficient engine braking action when the closed condition of the throttle valve is sensed.
