    摘要: A Lin-Xie brake used by a mine hoist, a car, a high-speed train, etc. Gas springs are used to replace belleville springs, and a positive pressure is also always applied to brake pads to both ensure and increase the brake reliability and a positive pressure per unit area. And the Lin-Xie brake resolves problems such as deformation of the belleville springs, a serious change in an elastic force, sudden cracking and decompression, inconvenient monitoring, and a manufacturing difficulty. For the Lin-Xie brake, a brake head floating structure is used to reduce a requirement on end face runout of a brake disc. An oil-gas linkage plunger pump is used to replace a hydraulic station, which greatly reduces manufacturing costs, and reduces energy consumption. The Lin-Xie brake is an ideal product to replace medium or large-sized Lin-Xie brakes used by existing mine hoists, cars, high-speed trains, etc.

    摘要: A method of detecting a leak in an air trailer brake circuit of a trailer includes providing a controller, a base valve, a first sensor, a second sensor, a leak control valve having a solenoid, a pneumatic fluid supply, a first brake output, and a second brake output. The method further includes supplying a first pressure to an inlet of the base valve and outputting a second pressure from an outlet of the base valve. The first pressure is detected with the first sensor and the second pressure is detected with the second sensor. The method also includes communicating the detected first pressure and the second pressure to the controller, and comparing a difference between first pressure and the second pressure to a threshold. A leak is detected in the air trailer brake circuit if the difference satisfies the threshold.

    摘要: In a vehicle combination including a hydraulically braked towing vehicle and a pneumatically braked trailer, a brake module serving as a trailer control valve has an electropneumatic pressure regulating module with an electronic controller that converts pressure signals from a sensor at a hydraulic pressure line from a hydraulically-actuated service brake master cylinder into control pulses for electromagnetic control valves in the regulating module. The control valves are connected via a pneumatic supply pressure inlet to a compressed air reservoir, and via a pneumatic control pressure outlet to a control pressure coupling head. The brake module has a redundancy valve arrangement and is connected via a hydraulic control inlet to the hydraulic pressure line, and via a pneumatic inlet to the reservoir, the hydraulic control pressure determining the magnitude of the pneumatic outlet pressure at an outlet of the redundancy arrangement, which is connected to the coupling head when an electrical/electronic component relevant to brake module operation fails. The pneumatic outlet is disconnected from the coupling head in fault-free operation. The regulating module and redundancy arrangement are connected pneumatically in parallel, and the pneumatic outlet can be connected exclusively to the coupling head.

    摘要: A hybrid brake apparatus for a vehicle includes a front hydraulically actuated brake circuit, a rear electrically actuated brake circuit, and a controller. The front hydraulically actuated brake circuit includes a master cylinder for providing pressurized fluid to the front brake circuit in response to an input applied to the master cylinder for applying a frictional front braking force. The rear electrically actuated brake circuit is controllable in response to the input for providing a frictional rear braking force. The rear brake circuit is controlled in accordance with a first predetermined relationship between the input and rear braking force during normal operation of the front brake circuit. If the controller detects a degradation of front braking force, the rear brake circuit is controlled in accordance with a second predetermined relationship between the input and the rear braking force, to thereby compensate for the degradation of front braking force.

    摘要: The invention relates to a brake system configured to enhance control and maneuverability of a three-wheeled agricultural applicator. The brake system includes a brake pedal in fluid communication with a rear brake system and a front brake system. The front brake system includes a flow limiter in communication with a brake actuator configured to delay application of a second braking force by the front brake system relative to application of a first braking force by the rear brake system. The front brake system includes a front brake mechanism comprising a caliper assembly in combination with a disc brake configured to apply the second braking force to the at least one front wheel assembly. The caliper assembly employs a spacer combined with a series of bushings to float the caliper assembly in general alignment with movement of the disc brake caused by dynamic forces associated with operation of the vehicle.

    摘要: The invented apparatus is designed for use with a tow vehicle and trailer combination. The apparatus includes a controller, and can also include a vacuum sensor and a vacuum pump. The vacuum sensor is communicatively coupled to sense the vacuum supply available to operate a trailer brake system that is interfaced to the tow vehicle's brake system to coordinate braking of the trailer and vehicle. The vacuum sensor generates a vacuum pressure level signal supplied to the controller. The controller periodically determines whether the vacuum pressure level is less than a first predetermined vacuum pressure level. If so, the controller activates the vacuum pump by generating a vacuum pump switch signal. On the other hand, if the vacuum pressure level is greater than the first predetermined level, the controller does not activate the vacuum pump switch signal. If the vacuum pump switch signal is activated, the controller periodically determines whether the vacuum pressure level has risen to or above a second predetermined pressure level that is greater than the first level, and that corresponds to a maximum vacuum supply level. If so, the controller deactivates the vacuum pump. On the other hand, if the vacuum pressure level has not risen above the second level, the controller does not deactivate the vacuum pump. The invented apparatus also can include a control valve used to interface and coordinate the tow vehicle and trailer brake systems, as well as a display that visually indicates the vacuum pressure level to the driver, and an alarm that warns the driver of a low-vacuum condition. The invention also includes a related method.

    摘要: A pendulum responsive to excessive deceleration operates a valve which creates a pressure differential across a pressure responsive member to close an inlet valve to the brake chamber and expand an outlet chamber to thereby reduce the rear brake pressure. The invention provides retaining mechanism for preventing the pendulum from swinging during non-braking periods and for returning the pendulum to its inoperative position upon a reduction of inlet pressure. A piston responsive to pressure at the inlet moves the retaining mechanism to a position wherein the inertia member is free to swing during normal brake applications.
