Abstract:
Disclosed is a leather-like sheet having a surface configured such that, when an L* value, a C* value, and an h value under illumination of a D65 light source are represented as L*D65, C*D65, and hD65, and an L* value, a C* value, an h value under illumination of an F10 light source are represented as L*F10, C*F10, and hF10, L*D65 is 30 to 95, and at least one selected from a condition |ΔC|=|C*F10−C*D65|≥7, and a condition |Δh°|=|hF10−hD65|≥7° is satisfied.
Abstract:
A deconstructed tufted carpet having an at least partially visible primary backing. In aspects, deconstructed carpet can utilize the primary backing layer as a design element of the overall pattern and styling in order to reduce material use, waste and the ounce weight of the finished carpet and to improve the method of carpet construction. In order to expose the primary backing, at least some yarn can be pulled very low in the pattern areas to expose the primary backing layer. It is contemplated that the primary backing layer can have a color that comprises part of the overall pattern and styling of the carpet.
Abstract:
A relatively lightweight wall adhering material includes a non-woven fabric or a water-resistant paper, having a coating weight of from 40 to 150 g/m2 as a substrate and provided thereon a porous layer in an amount of from 5 to 50 g/m2. The porous layer includes a binder resin and a low-refractive-index pigment dispersed in the binder resin and firmly fixed thereto. The water-discoloring wall adhering material has a gross weight of from 50 to 200 g/m2. The water-discoloring wall adhering material has excellent convenience at the time of production and use, promptly forms clear image to perceive, and is difficult to fall down when adhered to a wall.

Abstract:
Briefly described, embodiments of this disclosure include fibers, methods of making fibers, structures (e.g., textile articles), and carpets.
Abstract:
A covering for a floor, wall or ceiling surface includes tiles each having first and second discrete tile sections. The first section includes a primary backing exposed on one side of the tile forming a first discrete exposed surface portion and a plurality of yarns tufted into the primary backing with cut or loop yarns on the back side of the primary backing leaving backstitches forming a second discrete exposed surface portion of the first section. The primary backing and backstitches form the first and second surface portions, respectively, of the first section with aesthetic characteristics different from one another. The second section of the tile is formed of one of a woven fabric, a non-woven fabric and a tufted pile and which second section forms the remaining portion of the exposed surface of the tile.
Abstract:
A flooring system for use in a residential environment. The flooring system includes a subfloor adapted to support the mass of a user and modular surface covering elements for disposition in edge to edge covering arrangement across at least a portion of the subfloor. The modular surface covering elements include a pile fabric face with an arrangement of yarns projecting outwardly defining a pile layer for contact by a user. At least one layer of cushioning material is disposed in contacting relation at a position below the pile fabric face.
Abstract:
A layered cushioned composite which in one embodiment incorporates a glass layer of stabilizing material disposed within a layer of adhesive material below a primary carpet surface such that the adhesive material extends in covering relation away from each side of the stabilizing material and performs the dual functions of securing the stabilizing material at a defined position below the underside of the primary carpet and forming an attachment surface for an adjacent layer of underlying recycled foam or rebond foam cushioning material.
Abstract:
Color, pattern, design, and/or the like is applied by means of a jet dye process, or any other secondary or post pattern application process, including but not exclusively, silk screen printing, rotary printing, etc., to a bonded carpet, where the yarn in the carpet is all white (no dye applied) or light colored or where the yarn is pre-dyed with a single or multiple colors or where the yarn is treated chemically. The bonded carpet preferably has a low face weight and flat, short, dense, vertical cut pile.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to an electromagnetically conductive textile fabric comprising conductive fibers arranged to provide a conductivity gradient through its thickness. The fibers may be intrinsically conductive or coated with a conducting material and the gradient can be related to variances in fiber density, fiber diameter (fineness) and fiber conductivity. The fabric can be used to eliminate or reduce electromagnetic interference (EMI) in various applications.
Abstract:
A process for manufacturing latex-, PVC- and plasticizer-free textile or plastic floor or wall coverings, which contain a foamed layer, in which a powder mixture containing:(1) 100 parts by weight of a thermoplastic polymer;(2) 0-100 parts by weight of fillers;(3) 0.5-7 parts by weight of blowing agents; and(4) 0-30 parts by weight of additives;is scattered onto a backing layer, melted at a temperature within the range of from about 70.degree. to about 110.degree. C. smoothed between smoothing rolls and foamed at a temperature within the range of from about 120.degree. to about 200.degree. C.
