摘要: A component of an exhaust system for an internal combustion engine comprises a wall in which at least one opening is provided. A perforated cover at least partly closes the at least one opening. The perforated cover is mounted on the wall using a holder, and a portion of the perforated cover engages into an opening provided on the holder. There is also presented an exhaust system comprising such a component, and a method for manufacturing such a component, in which the perforated cover is mounted on the holder by introducing at least one portion of the perforated cover into an opening provided on the holder.

摘要: A dosing and mixing assembly for an exhaust aftertreatment device includes a conduit arrangement defining overlapping, coaxial flow paths that join at a common flow path. The conduit arrangement defines a mixing region upstream of the overlapping, coaxial flow paths, an impact region at the overlapping, coaxial flow paths, and a merge region where the coaxial flow paths join. The outer of the coaxial flow paths insulates the inner of the flow paths at least as the impact region. Reactant can be dispensed into the inner flow path along a spray path that intersects the impact region of the conduit arrangement. A spray protector can be provided at or upstream of the mixer to inhibit swirling of reactant at the doser nozzle.

摘要: An outlet assembly for an aftertreatment system comprises an outlet conduit configured to receive an exhaust gas from the aftertreatment system. The outlet conduit defines a first aperture through a sidewall thereof. An outlet passage is disposed within the outlet conduit. The outlet passage comprises a first end facing an upstream side of the outlet conduit and a second end located downstream from the first end. The second end is fluidly coupled to the first aperture. A hole is defined through an outlet passage sidewall at a radial location that is proximate to the sidewall of the outlet conduit. The hole is configured to allow a sensor to be inserted therethrough into a flow path defined by the outlet passage. The outlet passage is configured to receive a portion of the exhaust gas from the outlet conduit such that the sensor is exposed to the portion of the exhaust gas.

摘要: A mixer for an exhaust system of an internal combustion engine for mixing additives into an exhaust gas flow, with at least one inlet pipe having a pipe axis, with at least one outlet pipe having a pipe axis and with a housing for receiving the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe, wherein the outlet pipe has an inner part which is arranged within the housing and is provided with at least one outflow opening for the purpose of conducting the exhaust gas out of the housing, wherein the housing has a first housing part with a first housing edge and at least one second housing part with a second housing edge, wherein the two housing parts are at least partially connected via the housing edge, and in that the inlet pipe has an inner part which is arranged within the housing and is provided with at least one inlet opening for the purpose of introducing the exhaust gas into the housing, wherein a) the respective housing edge as at least two formations, each having a center axis, and/or b) the respective housing part has at least two rim holes, each having a center axis, and the respective pipe has bearing points via which said pipe is mounted within the formations or within the rim holes, wherein i) the respective pipe is formed symmetrically with respect to the design of the bearing points, and, for the purpose of installation, can be mounted in at least two different positions R1, R2 in the respective formation, or ii) the inlet pipe and the outlet pipe are of identical design with respect to the design of the bearing points, or iii) the two housing parts are connectable in a plurality of positions S1, S2 relative to each other via the housing edge.

摘要: An exhaust after-treatment assembly for an engine system is provided. The exhaust after-treatment assembly includes a housing having an inlet port, an outlet port, a catalyst disposed within a cavity defined by the housing, and a muffler assembly disposed within the cavity downstream of the catalyst. The muffler assembly includes one or more baffle plates disposed longitudinally spaced from one another within the housing to define at least a first resonator chamber and a second resonator chamber. Each of the baffle plates defines an openings aligned to one another about a longitudinal axis of the housing. Further, a resonator tube extends through the openings of the baffle plates and includes an inlet, a perforated portion and one or more outlet ports formed in a wall of the resonator tube. The perforated portion and the outlet ports, respectively in fluid communication with the second resonator chamber and the first resonator chamber.

The mixer module includes an outer body and an inner body located within the outer body. In addition the outer body is fixedly retained to the first support and the second support. Further, a first end of the inner body is slidingly retained within the outer body, and a second end of the inner body is fixedly retained relative to the outer body at or near the second support.

摘要: An emissions cleaning module electronics support unit includes a base member which defines at least one seating location for an electronics module; and a roof member includes a first end joined to the base member and a second end, distal the base member, coupled to a brace or one or more conduits of the emissions cleaning module. The roof member may be shaped to extend up and over the base member so as to create an open-mouthed cavity. The base member may include one or more apertures creating tortuous thermal paths between the attachment member and electronics module seating location.

摘要: The disclosure provides an emissions cleaning module for cleaning emissions output from an internal combustion engine. The emissions cleaning module may include a first conduit, a second conduit, a third conduit, a first end coupling and a second end coupling which together provide a continuous fluid path. The first, second and third conduits may be supported at one end by a first support member and at an opposite end by a second support member. The first, second and third conduits may be mutually parallel. The support members, conduits and couplings may be arranged with relative substantial translational movement thereof restricted.

摘要: An aftertreatment module includes a conduit defining a flow path and an aperture into the flow path. A shield is arranged at least partway around the conduit and spaced therefrom, the shield including an opening in registration with the aperture. A boss is provided on the conduit, the boss having a through-hole in registration with the aperture. A sensor is disposed within the boss so as to extend at least partway into the flow path. A spacer is arranged around the boss. The sensor extends through the opening, and the shield further includes an inner portion for engagement with the spacer.
