    摘要: A liquid pumping system includes at least two water cylinders that are each controlled by a hydraulic piston. A rotary valve controls the hydraulic pistons. The rotary valve has an inner unit that rotates within an outer unit. Slots provided between the inner and outer units control the duration, rate and direction of hydraulic fluid supply to the hydraulic piston. A liquid pumping process comprises distributing an initial flow of pressurized hydraulic fluid between the hydraulic cylinders. The hydraulic cylinders move through a cycle in a phased relationship to provide a constant sum of flow rates from the liquid pumps. In a water treating process, feed water is pumped through the membrane unit. Brine from the membrane unit is returned to each liquid pump while that liquid pump is feeding water to the membrane unit.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present invention are directed to devices and methods for propelling fluids that feature at least one first pump assembly having a primary pump, an accumulator pump, drive means, valve means and control means. The valve means moves between the first position and the second position as the accumulator pump and primary pump alternate between a loading movement and a pump movement. The control means is in signal communication with the accumulator pump, the primary pump and the valve means. The control means issues signal command to the accumulator pump to assume the loading movement and the pump movement and the primary pump to assume the loading movement and pump movement in coordination with the movement of the valve means such that fluids are propelled from the first outlet.

This driving mechanism is arranged such that the rotatable disc reaches an angular position at which it opens and/or closes the inlet and/or outlet ports when there is no relative to-and-fro linear movement between the cylindrical housing and the piston.

    摘要: A pumping system for continuously delivering fluid at a selected flow rate to a receiving system. The system includes at least a first and a second pumping unit, each of the individual units comprises a syringe and a valve. The syringe comprises a piston and a piston actuator, cylinder, and pressure sensor. The valve comprises a positively-actuated zero switching volume valve and valve actuator. The first and second pumping units are in fluid communication with one another and are capable of independent actuation. The individual valves are arranged to isolate either the first syringe or the second syringe, respectively, from the receiving system while at least one of the syringes remains in fluid communication with the receiving system whereby system pressure can be continuously monitored and the selected system flow rate maintained. A controller receives inputs from the first and second pressure sensors and activates in response to the inputs the first and second syringes individually, and also activates the first and second valves individually such that when fluid communication is established between the isolated syringe and the receiving system substantially no system flow error is produced. The pressure sensor is positioned within each pumping unit, permitting a pumping unit which has been refilled offline to perform compression of its cylinder contents without perturbation of the on-line process, and which further permits discrimination of the point in the compression cycle where compression has been completed and fluid delivery to the system will commence.

    摘要: A system for metering and pumping a plurality of fluids is diclosed. The system includes a pumping stage which has a plurality of piston pumps extending from a rigid support to a rack hinged at one end. A valve stage is provided having a valve body with an internal rotatable valve spool. The valve body has several sets of inlet, outlet and common ports communicating with the valve spool, the common ports being connected to the respective pumps. One set of ports is provided for such fluid to be metered and pumped. For each set of ports, the valve spool has a flat portion and a circumferential indentation integral to the flat portion. Alignment of a flat portion of the valve spool with an inlet port of the valve body allows fluid to pass from a supply to the respective pump, and alignment of the flat portion with an outlet port allows the fluid to pass from the pump and out through the outlet port. Means are provided for rotating the valve spool so that the respective fluids are cyclically provided to the respective metering pumps and then allowed to be expelled therefrom.
