    摘要: A vehicle differential assembly is provided that includes a differential driven by an input and adapted to allow differing rotational speed between a pair of outputs. The differential includes a gear assembly connected to the outputs and a hydraulically-actuated clutch for selectively and variably coupling the outputs. A hydraulic pump is adapted to generate hydraulic fluid pressure for engagement of the hydraulically-actuated clutch. A variable-engagement clutch is operatively connected to the input and the hydraulic pump such that the input selectively drives the hydraulic pump during engagement of the clutch to provide hydraulic fluid pressure to the hydraulically-actuated clutch. A torque coupling including a variable-engagement clutch is also provided.

    摘要: A solenoid control valve for use in actuation of a manual hydraulic clutch in a vehicle. The solenoid control valve has an electronically operated solenoid with armature and actuator rod displaced through a channel in the solenoid. A spool valve has a valve body that is coupled at one end to the solenoid. A spool is slidably disposed in the control channel. A first and second dampener chambers are located at the two ends of the spool. The dampeners function to improve the stability in the control system and balance the transient flow forces of the hydraulic fluid as it moves through the valve member. The spool also has a control portion is located between the first end and the second end of the spool. The control portion allows the control portion to communicate with a supply, control and exhaust passages in the valve body.

    摘要: An automatic operating apparatus for a friction clutch is disclosed which apparatus performs the disconnection of the clutch of a transmission by the assistance of the accumulated load in a load accumulator which can perform the accumulation and the release of the load by a simple mechanism. In the automatic clutch operating apparatus having a reducer 9, 13 to reduce the forward rotating force of a motor 1 and a movement converter 10, 12 to make a piston rod 4a of a hydraulic master cylinder 2 move in the axial direction so as to disconnect the friction clutch, a link mechanism is constructed for accumulating the loads due to the rotating force of the motor 1 and the repulsive force of the clutch spring in the load accumulator 16, 18 when the motor 1 is rotated backward to connect the friction clutch and for releasing the accumulated loads when the motor 1 is rotated forward to disconnect the clutch. The link mechanism is formed as a toggle joint including a crank arm 10, a piston rod 4a, a link 21 which is rotatably connected with a load accumulator 16, 18 through a first connecting portion 20, and a second connecting portion 12 to rotatably connect these members with each other.

    摘要: A torque-coupling assembly comprises a rotatable torque-coupling case, a friction clutch assembly for selectively engaging the torque-coupling case and an output shaft, a hydraulic pump for generating a hydraulic fluid pressure and a variable pressure-relief valve assembly to selectively control the clutch assembly. The variable pressure-relief valve assembly includes a valve closure member, a valve seat and an electro-magnetic actuator for engaging the valve closure member and generating a variable axial electro-magnetic force acting to the valve closure member so as to selectively vary a release pressure of the pressure-relief valve assembly. The electro-magnetic actuator includes an inverted electro-magnetic coil assembly and an armature disposed inside the electro-magnetic coil assembly and axially movable relative thereto. The torque-coupling assembly further comprises at least one plenum passage provided adjacent to an inner peripheral surface of the armature for directing hydraulic fluid exiting the torque-coupling case through the electro-magnetic actuator.
