摘要: A vehicle control apparatus includes a first control section that shifts a vehicle from a normal running state to a coasting state by disengaging the clutch device of the vehicle when a predetermined execution condition is satisfied, a second control section that releases the coasting state when a brake operation or an accelerator operation is performed by a vehicle driver while the vehicle is in the coasting state, and an operation amount determination section that determines whether or not an operation amount of a brake operation or an accelerator operation performed while the vehicle is in the coasting state exceeds a release threshold. The second control section releases the coasting state if the operation amount is determined to exceed the release threshold, and does not release the coasting state if the operation amount is determined not to exceed the release threshold.

摘要: A first rotary shaft is rotated by a driver and rotatively connected to a first rotary load. A second rotary shaft is rotatively connected to a second rotary load. A hydraulic pump includes a first rotor disposed on the first rotary shaft so as to be rotated together therewith. A second rotor is disposed on the second rotary shaft so as to be rotated together therewith. The second rotor acts so that, when a revolution speed difference has occurred between the first and second rotary shafts, the first and second rotors are each relatively slided on a sliding surface thereon by relative rotation corresponding to the difference, to heighten the pressure of liquid-tightly interposed oil and then supply the pressure-heightened oil. A multiple-disk clutch includes a group of engaging members disposed on the first rotary shaft so as to be rotated together therewith and so as to be movable in the axial direction thereof relative to the first rotary shaft, and another group of engaging members which are disposed on the second rotary shaft so as to be rotated together therewith. The latter engaging members are placed between the former engaging members so as to constitute a multiple-disk clutch, thus making is possible to engage both the groups of engaging members with each other to transmit torque.

摘要: A self-contained fan clutch including a housing in which is contained a rotatable drive disc driven by a source of power connected to the housing and the drive disc. Also mounted within the housing is an annular piston having an annular piston portion reciprocable within a cylinder member, the piston portion carrying a friction facing engageable with the driven drive disc when the piston is actuated within the cylinder. The piston divides the cylinder into a high pressure side and a low pressure side with the piston, piston portion and cylinder carried by the housing with the housing having a series of fan blades mounted thereon.The cylinder member mounts a reciprocal pump plunger actuated by a cam mounted on the driven drive disc for pressurizing the high pressure side of the cylinder which causes the friction facing of the piston portion to engage the drive disc and be rotated together with the housing and fans thereon. The pump plunger is actuated by a thermal sensor pill. Also included is apparatus for relieving pressure in the high pressure side of the cylinder and shunting it to the low pressure side of the cylinder thereby causing the piston to shift to the high pressure side by reason of springs carried by the housing and piston whereby the friction facing is relieved from the drive disc and the housing and fan thereon ceases to rotate.

摘要: This disclosure deals with a drive for a fan of an internal combustion engine, the drive including a clutch connected between the engine and the fan blades. A piston is movable to actuate the clutch, and an actuating fluid is employed to move the piston. The fan drive is connected to the engine lubricating system so that the engine lubricant acts as the actuating fluid. An engine temperature responsive circuit actuates the clutch to engage and disengage at certain engine temperatures. The fan drive includes a fluid feed path, return path and control path, but only two fluid connections to the clutch are necessary. When the temperature responsive circuit operates to disengage the clutch, a valve releases the pressure in order to quickly disengage the clutch.

摘要: An apparatus for actuating an automatically operated clutch for use in the driveline of an automotive vehicle. Such apparatus being operative to drive the clutch to disengage when shift is being made in the transmission with the accelerator pedal kept depressed and also being operative, in response to vehicle speed, for enabling the clutch to be engaged at a moderate rate when the vehicle speed is higher than a predetermined level. The apparatus is responsive to movement of the accelerator pedal for enabling the clutch to be engaged at a rate varying with the depth to which the accelerator pedal is depressed, and also for enabling the clutch to be driven toward an engaged condition rapidly for a certain period of time slightly before the clutch is first brought into engagement.

摘要: A control coupling in which an enclosure houses first and second sets of mutually interleaved elements in a viscous liquid. The first and second sets of elements are arranged for rotation about a common axis and for driving connection with first and second rotatable members respectively. A clutch is provided outside the enclosure and resilient means are arranged to urge the clutch into a disengaged state. A pressure responsive means which is in communication with the enclosure is arranged to engage the clutch against the action of the resilient means when the pressure in the liquid in the enclosure attains a predetermined level.

摘要: This invention refers to a hydraulic bearing clutch which is placed between the engine and the gear box, being suitable for any type of gear box. The hydraulic bearing clutch, according to this invention includes: a metal disc (1) coupled with an engine flywheel (2), a PTO shaft (3) attached to the metal disc (1) and tied in with a rotor (8) of the hydraulic pump (4) and a pressure chamber (7) mounted on the PTO shaft (3). Inside the hydraulic pump (4) there is a ball drum (9) tied in with the rotor (8) of the pump and in gear, through blocking, with the stator (15) of the pump. The stator is tied in with the primary shaft (6) on which are mounted a low pressure chamber (33) and a high pressure chamber (28). The high pressure chamber (28) is connected to a pressure regulator (38) and, through a solenoid valve (37), to the pressure chamber (7) on the PTO shaft (3). The pump rotor (8) has provided some radial rectangular seats (29) into which slide some metal blades (14), connected with an axial groove (11) and a radial groove (10) which correspond to the pressure chamber (7) on the PTO shaft (3). The axial groove (11) corresponds to a circular groove (17) and to the radial grooves (18) on the drum (9) and some balls (20) press on a circular groove (21) with bulges on the stator (15). The stator (15) is provided with admission ports (23), corresponding to the cross grooves (25) and the radial grooves (26), but also to the axial grooves (27) on the primary shaft (6). These grooves also make the connection with the high pressure chamber (28) and the low pressure chamber (33).

摘要: A vehicle differential assembly is provided that includes a differential driven by an input and adapted to allow differing rotational speed between a pair of outputs. The differential includes a gear assembly connected to the outputs and one or more hydraulically-actuated clutches for selectively and variably coupling the outputs. A hydraulic pump is adapted to generate hydraulic fluid pressure for engagement of the one or more hydraulically-actuated clutches. A variable-engagement clutch is operatively connected to the input and the hydraulic pump such that the input selectively drives the hydraulic pump during engagement of the clutch to provide hydraulic fluid pressure to the one or more hydraulically-actuated clutches. A valve operatively connected to the hydraulic pump and the one or more hydraulically-actuated clutches to selectively and variably provide fluid pressure from the hydraulic pump to the one or more hydraulically-actuated clutches. A method of controlling vehicle stability is also provided.
