摘要: A shock absorber includes a cylinder, a sleeve provided so as to surround the outer circumferential surface of the cylinder, the cylinder formed of a different material from a material for the cylinder, first and second springs provided along the outer circumferential surface of the sleeve, and a slider provided between the first spring and the second spring, and capable of being displaced in an axel direction. The materials for the cylinder and the sleeve are a combination of materials that causes corrosion due to a contact of either one of those with the other one of those. A corrosion inhibitor is provided which suppresses an occurrence of corrosion on the cylinder or on the sleeve. In one embodiment, the materials are metals.

摘要: The coil spring includes steel wire material containing 0.45 to 0.80 weight % of C, 0.15 to 2.50 weight % of Si, 0.3 to 1.0 weight % of Mn and iron and inevitable impurities as the remainder, and having a circle equivalent diameter of 2.5 mm to 10 mm, in which internal hardness at a freely selected cross section of the wire material is in a range of 570 to 700 Hv, C-condensed layer which exceeds average concentration of C contained in the steel wire material exists at surface layer part, and in an approximate maximum principal stress direction generated when a compressive load is loaded on spring of inner diameter side of the coil spring of the wire material, unloaded compressive residual stress at a depth of 0.2 mm and 0.4 min from surface of the wire material is not less than 200 MPa and not less than 60 MPa, respectively.

摘要: A gas spring provides an outer cylinder which is partitioned into a multiple of auxiliary volumes. A multiple of temperature compensation valves are located within a piston cylinder which sequentially open or close. As the temperature increases, the temperature compensation valves open sequentially and as the temperature decreases the temperature compensation valves close in reverse sequence. Between each pair of adjacent temperature compensation valves is a passage which provides communication between the working volume and an auxiliary volume to effectively increase or decrease the working volume of gas within cylinder through communication with or isolation of the auxiliary volumes.

摘要: A dynamic damper for a drive shaft may include a mass part fixed to the drive shaft, and a clamping band fixing the mass part to the drive shaft, to attenuate vibration and noise of the drive shaft, in which the clamping band may include a metallic inner banding member disposed on an outer surface of the drive shaft to correct a decrease in damping frequency when a temperature is increased, and an annular outer banding member disposed outside the inner banding member and pressing the inner banding member against the drive shaft to increase rigidity of the damper when the temperature is increased.

摘要: An apparatus for absorbing vibrations in a structural member, such as in an aircraft fuselage, has a mounting member for attaching to the structural member. Two masses are coupled in a cantilevered manner to the mounting member by a plurality of flexible rigid members, such as rods or plates, which act as a spring that allows the masses to vibrate with respect to the mounting member. The spring-mass assembly has a resonant frequency that matches the frequency of the vibrations in the structural member. A mechanism, connected between the two masses, exerts a variable force on the plurality of rigid members to compensate for changes in their stiffness due to changes in temperature and thereby maintain the resonant frequency substantially constant. Preferably the mechanism includes a bimetallic element that has a shape which changes with temperature variation to produce the variable force.

摘要: A 3D printed additively manufactured (AM) elliptical bifurcating torsion flexure assembly system includes a base section; elliptical bifurcating torsion springs, each including a bifurcated legs section supported by the base; a bifurcated elliptical torsion spring section contiguous with the bifurcated legs section; and a single upper section contiguous with the elliptical torsion spring section. The single upper section includes a connection component, and the device material includes Hot Isostatic Pressing (HIP) heat-treated Ti6Al4V. The elliptical bifurcating torsion flexure assembly is printed as one part by a 3D additive manufacturing process, and the bifurcation maintains consistent balance while being torqued. The stiffness-spring rate of the device is at least partly controlled by varying cross-sectional shape and diameters by the 3D additive manufacturing printing.

摘要: A magnetic spring actuator comprising a ring, a piston movably disposed inside of the ring, and a-non-magnetic holding cylinder. At least one of the ring and the piston is magnetic. Due to a magnetic force caused by at least one of the ring and the piston, the piston is initially located in a first position with respect to the ring. Application of an outside force results in movement of the piston to a second position with respect to the ring. The magnetic force produces a return force for causing the piston to return to the first position with respect to the ring. Alternatively, the piston can be fixed and the ring can be adapted for moving with respect to the piston in a similar manner. A bi-metal coil spring may be wound around the piston.
