摘要: An electromagnetic shift arrangement for a transmission (2) with gear wheels (4, 6) arranged on a gear shift (12) rotatable about an axis (20) which can be non-rotatably connected with the gear shaft (12) to form a ratio step via an axial movement of a shift dog (18) along the axis (20). An electromagnetic device (24, 26, 40) is provided which is adequate for axial movement of the shift dog (18) along the axis (20). The electromagnetic device (24, 26, 40) is disposed in the area of the shift dog (18) and acts upon the shift dog (18) directly without shift fork.

摘要: A magnetic actuator includes a first element and a second element movable with respect to the first element in a movement direction. The first element includes teeth successively in the movement direction, two coils in slots defined by the teeth, and a permanent magnet. The second element includes teeth successively in the movement direction. The teeth of the first and second elements and the permanent magnet are arranged so that the second element is held by magnetic forces in each of three positions also when there are no currents in the coils. The second element can be moved between the three positions by supplying electric currents to the coils. Thus, the second element is held in any of the three positions also when current supply to the magnetic actuator is unintentionally lost.

摘要: A rotational coupling device drives an output synchronous with either of two inputs. The device includes a hub disposed about an axis and an output member supported on the hub for rotation about the axis. First and second input members disposed about the hub are configured to rotate in first and second rotational directions and at first and second speeds, respectively, with at least one of the directions and speeds differing. A clutch member is disposed axially between the input members and coupled to the output member. An electromagnet is on an opposite side of the second input member relative to the clutch member. When the electromagnet is deenergized, the clutch member engages the first input member and the output member rotates with the first input member. When the electromagnet is energized, the clutch member engages the second input member and the output member rotates with the second input member.

摘要: A synchronizer assembly for a vehicle transmission, where the synchronizer assembly is electrically actuated during a shift. The assembly includes a sleeve having an inner surface and an outer surface. A rotor is rotatably mounted to the outer surface of the sleeve and a shift collar is axially mounted to the inner surface of the sleeve. The rotor is threadably coupled to the shift collar so that when the rotor rotates, the shift collar moves in an axial direction relative to the sleeve. An armature coil is electrically coupled to the rotor to cause it to rotate. Keys are rigidly secured to the shift collar to maintain the orientation of the shift collar while it moves. The shift collar locks a shift gear to the transmission output shaft during a shift.
