The first shift drum and the second shift drum are connected so as to rotate integrally with each other via a drive shaft. A drum drive source is provided to drive the drive shaft.

    摘要: A mechanism for changing the operating condition of a shifting element having two shifting element halves, which can either be functionally connected to connect two components or disengaged to break the connection between the components. The mechanism includes a drive machine and a drive converter unit in the area of which rotary drive motion of the drive machine can be converted into a translational actuation movement of the shifting element. A spring device is associated with the drive converter unit, whose spring force assists with actuating the shifting element in the engaging direction. The spring device includes an approximately circular flat spring element which, in at least one area of the drive converter unit, is in contact with at least one cam, whose stress condition varies as a function of an operating condition of the drive converter unit and is designed to be rotationally fixed.

    摘要: A shift assembly for a two-speed transfer case utilizes a single actuator to drive both the speed range selection mechanism and a modulating friction clutch pack which selectively transfers drive torque from a primary output to a secondary output. The shift assembly includes an actuator which rotates a shift rail and cam having an intermediate helical track and a dwell region at each end. A lost motion assembly operating in conjunction with the helical cam selectively engages and disengages the clutch when the cam follower is in one of the two dwell regions. Thus, the shift assembly provides sequential operation from full clutch engagement in a first speed range, clutch disengagement in the first speed range, de-selection of the first speed range, selection, and de-selection of neutral, selection of a second speed range and, up to full engagement of the clutch in the second speed range.

    摘要: An apparatus for controlling the clutches in an automatic vehicle transmission includes a series of electric motors attached to the transmission housing, each of which has a motor shaft with a gear attached to it. A torque-to-thrust mechanism is driven by the driving gear and includes a thrust element that imparts a linear force to the apply plate of a clutch. Also included is a sensing system that allows for sensitive control of the torque-to-thrust mechanism which facilitates smooth engagement and disengagement of the clutch.
