Abstract:
An extending curved portion is provided below a bearing used in a bearing that supports a counter shaft of a reservoir plate to extend so as to receive the bearing, and to swell toward a differential chamber with respect to a bearing support portion that supports the bearing. In addition, the bearing support portion is provided with drainpipe-like ribs that serve as drainpipes that lead working oil to the extending curved portion. Consequently, working oil supplied from a working oil supply hole to the bearing and flowing down from the center of rotation of the bearing can be led to a working oil storage chamber.
Abstract:
A drive device is equipped with a countershaft, an engine, a first MG, a second MG, and a Ravigneaux-type planetary gear unit that includes a ring gear, a pinion, a carrier, a first sun gear, and a second sun gear. The pinion includes a first tooth portion that meshes with the ring gear and the first sun gear, and a second tooth portion that is provided at a position offset from the first tooth portion in an axial direction of the pinion and that meshes with the second sun gear. The drive device is further equipped with a first clutch that changes over a state of connection between the first sun gear and the engine, a second clutch that changes over a state of connection between the carrier and the engine, and a first brake that changes over a state of fixation of the second sun gear to a case.
Abstract:
In a power plant, the rotational speeds of four rotary elements, formed by a rotatable carrier that rotatably supports first and second pinion gears which are in mesh with each other, first and second gears which are in mesh with one of the two pinion gears, and a third gear, which is in mesh with the other of the two pinion gears, satisfy a collinear relationship in which the rotational speeds are aligned in a single straight line in a collinear chart. The first and second outer rotary elements, which are positioned at opposite outer sides of the straight line in the collinear chart, respectively, are connected to first and second energy input/output units, respectively. First and second quasi-outer rotary elements positioned adjacent to the first and second outer rotary elements, respectively, are connected to one and the other of two driven parts.

Abstract:
An automatic transmission includes a plurality of planetary gear assemblies, an integrated starter, a remote mounted hydraulic pump and a common drive system. An input shaft of the automatic transmission is coupled to and drives a ring (spur) gear. In one portion of the automatic transmission, a starter motor is disposed and includes gear teeth on an output shaft that engage a pinion gear that, in turn, engages the input shaft ring gear. In another portion of the automatic transmission, preferably the lower portion, an off axis hydraulic pump includes a drive shaft and driven gear which also engages the input shaft ring gear.
Abstract:
A transmission is provided having an input member, an output member, a planetary gear set assembly, two planetary gear sets, a plurality of coupling members and a plurality of torque transmitting devices. Each of the planetary gear sets includes first, second and third members and the planetary gear set assembly includes first, second, third and fourth members. The torque transmitting devices include clutches and brakes actuatable in combinations of two to establish a plurality of forward gear ratios and one reverse gear ratio.
Abstract:
A planetary gear train of an automatic transmission may include: a first input shaft; a second parallel shaft; a compound planetary gear set on the second shaft, and including a first rotation element engageable with the first shaft through two paths respectively having an external gear, a second rotation element connected to an output gear so as to be operated as an output element, a third rotation element engageable with the first shaft through one path having an external gear and selectively fixed, and a fourth rotation element engageable with the first shaft through one path having an external gear and selectively fixed; four transfer gears forming the external gears; frictional elements including clutches selectively connecting the first, third, and fourth rotation elements to the first shaft and brakes selectively connecting the third and fourth rotation elements to a transmission housing.
Abstract:
An automatic transmission (11) includes a planetary gear set (PS), first to third clutches (C-1 to C-3), first to third brakes (B-1 to B-3), and a counter gear (100) that outputs shifted rotation. The counter gear (100) is placed axially on one side of the planetary gear set (PS), and the second brake (B-2) is placed axially on the opposite side from of the counter gear (100) from the planetary gear set (PS). The second brake (B-2) that does not make higher speed rotation than other clutches and brakes can thus be separated from the planetary gear set (PS), and other clutches and brakes and the counter gear (100) are arranged near the planetary gear set (PS). Thus, members having a large thickness are reduced in length, whereby the automatic transmission is made compact and reduced in weight.
Abstract:
An automatic transmission is configured to achieve at least ten forward speeds and one reverse speeds. This is achieved through the use of two planetary gear sets with a plurality of clutches and brakes configured to operably couple different components of the two planetary gears to achieve different speeds. For example, operation of a first clutch inputs decelerated rotation of a reduction planetary gear to a third sun gear. Operation of a second clutch transmits from an input shaft to a third ring gear, a third clutch inputs decelerated rotation of the reduction planetary gear to the second sun gear, a fourth clutch transmits from the input shaft to the second carrier, a first brake prevents a second sun gear from rotating, a second brake prevents a carrier from rotating, a third brake capable prevents a third ring gear from rotating.
